Busy Monday

Very busy Monday. Monday. Busy. That much I can tell you.

Even as Trump has arrived in Cleveland Ohio and speaks directly to thousands who assembled over hours to hear him, and it is a performance, on par with rock concerts and sports events and evangelical revivals, crowds are already gathering to see him to hear the same performance in Fort Wayne Indiana and in Cape Girardeau Missouri.

Winston Churchill would call it the gathering storm. Fictional Paul Atreides would call it our storm.

Looking through those large windows you see an actual red wave growing.

You'd be frightened if you didn't know they are all lovely people with settled calm dispositions, patriot types patient by nature and balanced in their composure.

They have waited years for this. Some waited decades. They are eager to hear the same speech all over again. They are thrilled to be part of a movement. They are satisfied making history as landing on Normandy made history. This is a very busy day.

History it is because Trump changes the way the game is played, but few will play iy as well.

I haven't watched a single Trump speech, which is nothing particular against him. I haven't watched a President's speak since Bush gave his SOTU before the Iraq War. So I don't really know how to gauge attendance.

That said, I worked the 1992 GOP Convention and that crowd is not as big as what I'm seeing on YouTube showing up to see Trump. The media can delude themselves and their viewers about Trump's drawing power, but the truth is getting out. I just looked on YouTube and 19K people are watching one particular broadcast of his rally. I think there are several conservative channels broadcasting.
