My question is, would seeing this at a basketball game traumatize your boys?
I think your boys would think it's hilarious.
But I don't know.

In the 3rd grade the Wizard of Oz scared the living piss out of me. But we didn’t see 1/10 the crazy stuff kids see today.

Chip, One would laugh very very loud and the other would be traumatized for awhile.
Absolutely the kids are exposed to so much more now than ever. We're very selective about what our kids are exposed to, especially the tv. We just got back from Reno, Nv and the tv was sooo much better than here. I scrutinize their inputs as much as I can because even though we're watching The Crocodile Guy Steve Irwin, The commercials force me to have the remote in my hand to mute or change channels. Probably 80% of the commercials here have a gun, a dead body, or a pharmaceutical advertisement. Even Barry mentioned it when he visited for 3 days. It's Fucked up
We went to Ukraine for 30 days and watched their tv. 10 years ago it was like watching 40's & 50's tv Now it's like watching America's 80's to 2110, A different language and settings but recognizably similar.
Then there was the time my brother and I went to Maui about 2005 and their tv was the local fishing boats catch of the day, the local schools getting a new sidewalk, and the traumatizing news reports going on the the US mainland.
This place is Fucked Up.

The brother that went to Maui is me, he's being silly.
On YouTube there are a ton of this type of video of an inflatable mascot that eats someone on the field, a bat boy, a cheerleader etc. Then, while inside the mascot a shoe is tossed out, then another, then a shirt, and voices in the stand near the person recording say, "He's naked inside there! Ha ha ha." Then the fish puts down its chin to the ground and the person crawls out wearing only boxers and runs away. And the kids in the stands are cracking up laughing. Youtube [mascot eats].
There are even behind the scene videos about how the mascot eats people.
