Dealing with long lines, Gail explains

IdahoDeplorable says:

We are going to our first MAGA rally in Nevada this week! It’s a four hour drive for us to Elko and the rally is at an aviation hanger so I assume it’s going to be cold in there. We are taking our coats and hats as it get down into the 20’s there at night and the rally is at 11AM. We are so excited to see our wonderful President in person!

Gayle says:

Take chairs you can afford to lose … take a cooler and some hot coffee. There will most likely be NO vendors for food until you get inside the airplane facilities. I have been to 5 rallies. Take a blanket that you also, unless you are there EXTREMELY early and get to park within a block or so of the facility and somone can WALK your stuff back within 30 minutes of the gates opening up. BUY some Trump gear … yes vendors on the street are not selling AUTHENTIC stuff and you can buy a hat inside the arena or a shirt when TrumpStore opens. The TrumpStore booth does NOT carry pins, or really neato items and some of the vendor stuff is REALLY cool!!! Take handwarmers and bootwarmers like Hunters use … wear insulated underwear and LAYERS of clothes. The fact that you are STANDING for hours it seems like the cold just INVADES you

Also, put on a card your “talking points” … the media may ask you to interview and a quick look at them helps you … I got extremely nervous and was afraid I’d forget what I wanted to say

Take SNACKS…protein bars, vienna sausage, crackers, chips etc Chocolate bars etc

HAVE FUN and if you want to stand at the FRONT of the podium you will need to KEEP STANDING when you do get inside the rally … I opt for the bleachers in the round oval part of the arenas where you can see FULL on and with your cell phone you can still get decent pics

Gayle says:

ALSO .. with it starting at 11 AM you need to get in line at probably at least 3AM the NIGHT BEFORE …. YES the lines are THAT LONG If its in an airline hanger there will most likely be 3 overflow lots so lots get in .. However if you want UNDER the hangar itself unless you get there SUPER early in line you will not get in

IdahoDeplorable says:

Thank you, Gayle! Really good information and I would not have known any of this! I am taking notes right now of your tips. I really appreciate it.

IdahoDeplorable says:

3AM! Yes, we do want to get in so that’s what we will do.

Gayle says:

It sounds insane I know and I could hardly believe getting in line so early but MANY folks will actually get there the day before and camp out … now I have never done that but I was late getting to the Richmond KY rally cause we drove from the Lebanon Ohio one late at night through Cincinnati Ohio … grrrr terrible drive in the rain and I overslept at the hotel that morning. I had alarm set for 5:30 am …we got a hotel at 2am and I slept right through it … we got at the rally line at 7: 45 am and we were nearly #300 in line that day

The most important thing is bundle up and take food in case there is no food supply around BUT if you send someone out for food on foot say blocks away be sure they have phone so they can find way back and be sure to tell folks around you that you are saving the spot for someone going to get food!

Trump supporters are great folks but when you stand in line for hours it can be iratating if you think a line jumper comes .. AND watch for them!!! Be aware of who is in front of you in the line and if the compress the lines be sure to watch for those who want to come in very late and grab the first spots. I have seen it done

Trump rallies are the BEST pick me up, you will have a GREAT time and it is well worth the wait in line, the cold and yes even the hunger and loss of sleep

We drove 1149 miles over the last 2 weeks for rallies … Wheeling WV, Johnson City, TN, Lebanon OH and Richmond KY … I would NOT trade those memories or the ride for anything

Our POTUS is so worth our support!!! Also, they will most likely hand out the paper signs once you get inside the arena and get yourself several as keepsakes and WAVE those things high above … you will also get a chance to get a WAVE with the crowd going several times around the arena! It is sooooo much fun

Gayle says:

Also, you cannot take any coolers, chairs, thermos, umbrella etc inside the arena. We have taken fold up chairs to every rally and deposited them outside the arena near the entrance gate .. I went to Charleston WV rally back in late August and I did lose my chairs but the earlier one in Huntington WV they were still there

A lady in the line at Richmond KY had gone to a cheap store and got hers for $7.00 she said and she felt if she lost them it was well worth it

Be prepared to take off your pin gear if you put them on your clothing when you go thru the TSA as well I finally bought myself a LanYard (they will be selling them) and I pinned all my pins on them so I could pull it over my head going through the TSA line, if you take a purse I suggest a CLEAR tote that you can see through and take ZERO pens, lighters, nail files, sharp objects etc .. the faster the TSA can scan folks the better Also anyone wearing a hat you can put your pins on it and they scan the hat, billfold, change etc right in the hat on the conveyor belt as you walk through the machine. If you have had any metal put in your body just tell them. You will be asked to UNZIP your coats and turn your cell phones or tablets or EReaders ON It is much like going thru airports so the fastest is the best

You cannot take any banners, signs etc into the arena so don’t make one to bring unless you just want to have it in the line with you and leave it with your chairs

TheLastDemocrat says:

Wow. I would pick up a $30 tent for one-time use. It would have to be one that does not require being staked down. I cannot remember the term – self-standing or something.

Once set up, you can get out and drag it as necessary as the line shifts. Then, abandon it.

It might all be there after the event, but the comfort of a tent on a cold night!

Teagan says:

Gayle…”drove 1149 miles”….wow, hat ๐ŸŽฉ off to you! You’ve met some neat people and really have sampled the heart of American character. Too bad our politicians and CEOs don’t do the same.
I remember one Governor in Florida that took a day a month to work in various jobs around the state…priceless on the ground education.
Remember the time Trump worked in the kitchen of one of his hotels?

The waiting in line with fellow Deplorables is half the fun ( or 1/1024) ๐Ÿ˜Š Enjoy every moment ‘cuz it’s a lifetime Bucket List event, for sure๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Just reading that, if I were a Demo, I would be scared to death for November.
