We got another one - yay!
A now blast from the past - it has it all going on - Hammond B3 with Lesley tone cabinet, guitar solo, thumpin' bass, congas, maracas, more cowbell than is necessary and a blistering, if short, drum solo played by Michael Shrieve, who, you might notice, uses a traditional grip.

Imagine how annoying it would be to stand next to the guy who brought his own triangle so he could play along.
I noticed that guy - because who doesn't want to hear that crap, am I right? Good times...
Nothing screams that era louder than those sideburns.
Carlos is the boy from Tijuana. He gave this country a different sound and I loved it.
I heard it and ignored it. I don't dislike it now, but at the time I thought "Mexican music - meh". The drive is undeniable, however. Just ask the guy beating his head on the plywood wall.
What’s the time signature of that number?
I am going to go with 4/4, but that's just based on what Wikipedia says about Guaguancó. I would have guessed 2/2 or 2/4 but both of those match up with 4/4.
I just rewatched that video - it really rocks.
I liked Santana. Never saw him in my Frisco days but he and I did get our pot from the same guy.
Santana is not Santa Ana
Santa Ana's dead but they say Che Lives
Wow - nothing like a millionaire commie illegal, eh?
Yes West Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and if you've been naughty he's gonna fling chicken shit at you.
That's pretty mild for someone from West-by-God Virginia. Funny how quickly that story got pushed out of the news - all it took was a SCJ retiring.
