Honore Blackman was 37 when she played Pussy Galore. I wonder if it was a case of getting the biggest name for the lowest price. Shirley Eaton was 26 or 27 and could have easily stepped into the role. She had a hard blonde look to her.
Shirley Eaton was the hottest. She was "the girl" in a slew of Carry On Brit comedies. In one of those, I think it was Carry On Cabbie, the camera stays on her for an easy fifteen minutes while she sits in a moving cab in a low cut dress, jiggling. Sometimes it's all worthwhile.

I will admit ampersand's right about the hard look. It came down to a strong jawline. But otherwise, wow.
