My Day in Pictures

First there was a sunrise:

We went for a short walk:

Then it got cloudy:

(The sky said "Hey, whachu lookin' at?)

We got a minuscule amount of rain - far less than we need:

Then the storm blew over:

Then we got a sunset that was photo-worthy:

All the while I was making pieces parts and gittin' 'er done. All in all, a good day.

Very cold here this morning, then it got kinda nice. Things are greening out, so I started to mow some lawn that is growing very fast. Missed that fresh cut lawn smell over the long cold winter.

It is good to hear that things are thawing out up your way. We still have cool mornings, and I agree with the newly-mown lawn thing - of course one can get too much of a good thing, say, by September.

Clouds not only shift around
They shift in color too,
From yellow that may get you down
To purple hullabaloo.

Mowed the lawn yesterday, cleaned some packed leaves from the corners by the porch, sheared the dead leaves from a two feet thick clump of decorative grass, and partially pruned the small viburnum tree. I stopped after I noticed a bird nest. It looks like it might be old, but I'll keep an eye on it. Really felt good to finally get started.

I just checked - there are baby blue birds in the blue bird house - the eggs have hatched! Yay! I will try to get a picture when I can.
