I like the happiness in Brubeck's jazz. And in honor of the great rh, what better accompaniment for another Jean Shepherd monologue than another Brubeck composition? But alas they're both gone. O time O memory.
You can have Jean Shepard (always found him boring beyond words), but Take Five is the one progressive jazz piece everybody who remembers the early 60s knows
That was truly a team effort, between Desmond, Brubeck, and Morello. A great piece of music that will always be great, no matter the age. The good friend who introduced me to 'take five' back in 79 or so passed about a month ago. He left me a fine memory. Thank you, Kevin.
