I supply parts and materials to a guy who builds cigar box and reclaimed tin can guitars. Good to see those getting more exposure.
The sound of that snare drum reminds me of what drum line snares have morphed into in my lifetime - a high-pitched snap completely free of any resonance or tone. I prefer snares that sound like a drum rather than a drum machine. But then again, get off my lawn.
The drummer is the one musician who appears in all her videos so I figured he was hitting those drums in the right place and right on time. Leave it to Sixty to come up with something that I wasn't hearing, drum tone and likening his playing to a drum machine. Could be, and I wouldn't mind it if somebody stomped down my lawn so I wouldn't have to mow it today.
Thanks deborah. I think she'll help keep the blues alive and she'll be doing it without any tatoos that I can see.
And here I am praying for rain so that the next time I mow my lawn it doesn't look like Oklahoma during the dust bowl.
"That I can see" being, of course, the operative phrase.
I am not faulting his playing, mind you, just the way he tuned his snare. I am old school when it comes to such things - Buddy Rich is my standard when it comes to snare drum playing. Old freakin' school.

I love how the the guitar looks like a statement handbag :) YMMV

She's amazing. Not my kind of music, but she really has it going on. Rock out.
No tattoos is nice. I'm tired of the tattoo.
I'd like to be up in the high country.
She's finally getting the attention she deserves. Serious talent.
I've followed her for a bit and I really like her style. Her voice is really witchy which I dig a lot.
