Trump approval surges to 51%

Fifty-one percent of likely U.S. voters approve of President Trump's job performance, according to Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Oh these polls. They're always so solid. Why, I'd bet my life on them. Just ask any Democrat how reliable they are.

WND is one of several reporting this, noting it's not nothing when you compare them with polls of Obama's acceptance this same time during his administration.

It's something. I guess. It's something when you haven't anything else. And when you think of it, logically, it should be much lower. You figure, half the country hates him automatically and half the other half does too. All media cannot stand him. Neither can all government. So that's a lot of people against him. Then this. I guess that's a surprise. But why surges? Why do other sites say, "soars?"

I don't get the excitement.

Do I approve of Trump? No. Do I disapprove of Trump? No. I don't see where I have standing to have an opinion on such matters. Anyway, things haven't changed for me and mine, one way or the other, same as with Obama.

I dated a girl a long time ago who was reading a book about Diana Ross or Motown or something like that and one time she got all worked up about the injustice of how other singers were passed over so Ross could be a bigger star. She expected me to get all worked up along with her. That wasn't going to happen.

I thought getting worked up and caring about things like that and thinking ones' self virtuous for being passionate about such things to be kind of weird. But hey, that's just me.

I'm one of the 51 percent.

Even though Trump wobbles at times (like signing the Omnibus) compared to the two headed Establishment that owns DC and has it in for us, compared to that crew he's been heroic. Which probably explains the 51%.

One of the great things about Trump is that he doesn't have this big thirsty all-consuming need for you to like him. (Unlike some people ....) You don't feel obligated to like him. Sure, he likes people who like him (direct quote) but he doesn't work at being liked. He just Trumps around and if you like him, it happened naturally and without outside hype. So given that, and given the hyper hateful media that he gets on a daily/hourly/secondly basis, both express and implied, 51% is great!

I think maybe people are learning to appreciate the lack of emotional neediness.

Keep in mind, the fact he's up at all is something of a miracle. Whether it's 51 or 48 or whatever, the trend seems to indicate people like the job he's doing.

I think he did that to get his hands on the money to build the wall.

Why did Trump sign the Omnibus bill? Because it was him against most of the 435 members of the House of Representatives, and most of the 100 members of the Senate.

You guy do understand that this country is a dead nation walking right? Leftism has been on the steady march for decades, conservatives, especially the ones in Congress are basically nothing more than a wall of fodder trying to slow it down. They've done a fairly decent job until recently, but Trump is basically the only one holding this shit together. Rino and Turtle aren't helping him at all since they are busy licking democrat nutsacks to keep from being excluded in case they lose mid-terms. That's all these fuckers care about.

They don't care about you or me or anyone else but themselves. They know where their bread is buttered and they want that butter to keep flowing. We are just the suckers that don't have much choice in the matter since their rulesets don't apply to us and we'll get fucked if we stop playing their game.

I'm on the trump train because frankly, he's the only game in town that has my interests at heart. I don't see anyone else stepping up. Do you?
