The law takes effect beginning March 1, 2018. Two methods of dispatching live lobsters are recommended, by electrocution or by first sedating the lobster by submersion into salt water then thrusting a knife into its brain.
The reporting at American Thinker covers more of nanny state Switzerland laws. They also defined how lobsters are to be transported (not on ice). The same law protects dogs from being punished for barking. Cats must be allowed to see other cats. Hamsters and guinea pigs must be kept in pairs, goldfish cannot be flushed down the toilet.
They previously outlawed foi gras.

I can see it from the lobster's viewpoint. The Blonde's attitude is she doesn't like meeting her food.
But where do you draw the line? A funeral and a burial at sea?
Both of the practices shown seem a lot worse when described or imagined than they are in actual practice. I would think that both videos would serve to calm the fears of those concerned. The lobsters just seemed to go to sleep, and I could swear I heard the goose say "Thanks, man, see ya tomorrow same time".
It's horrible really. The best we can do is to not let their suffering be in vain.
Thank God I don't eat either.
