Fergie sings national anthem

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Who's Fergie? A princess? She's a singer with the Black Eyed Peas. But what are the Black Eyed Peas? They're a delicious legume cooked with smoked ham hoc and onions.

I listened to 5 whole seconds, transported to childhood, holding a ladle for a microphone imitating a cocktail club torch song singer, but with all my information from cartoons. And laughed. Pleased with having not been there.

I double-dog dare you to click it.

Not terrible, but it's too sexy and that is weird. Nobody wants to hump America.

She thinks that she has talent, but she doesn't have talent.

The thing is Fergie has had an unfortunate career. She was the white girl fronting a black group. A black group that had two hits. Which often happens in music. She doesn't write music. She is not a creative force. She was just a cute girl in front of the band.

Then she married a actor and had a kid. Now she is trying a comeback and is using the ingénue moves that had served her well back in the day. The only thing is she is past her sell by date. There are a bunch of younger fresher white girls making eyes at surly moolies.

To the young girls who should be her audience it is like her neighbors Mom is coming on to your boyfriend Jamal. Eecch.

She only has one talent for me and I would have zero issue watching her exercise it. :D

I'd still hit it Troop.

I think AllenS's comment nails it. Lacking talent she probably thought that her version of the anthem would be received as hip when it was received as what it was -- offensive. The being talentless part is why she couldn't even hear her delivery as offensive, she sincerely heard it as daring and hip. Not that that's any excuse..
