Janet Malcolm wrote that sometimes a journalist inspires your trust and confidence and then betrays it. Michael Wolff doesn't look like the kind of guy who inspires much trust and confidence. The person who really looks bad is a Bannon. Bannon is the one who invited him into the henhouse. I suppse he felt that Wolff would rip apart the other chickens and leave him alone with the golden eggs.......Well, Bannon is the big loser and Wolff is rich. It's been a learning experience.......I don't think the book hurts Trump. Too many of the stories are either fantastical or self contradictory. The media's love of this book doesn't make them look good. I've yet to see Wolff confronted with a hostile question. One questioner said that Trump played golf with Boehner so Trump, contrary to the report in Wolff's book, must have known Boehner. Wolff replied that in the early stages of Alzheimer's you forget people you know. The questioner nodded. That had to be the explanation.
