”We must get to the bottom of this…Once and for ALL.”
Says I to my husband (herein after known as Dumb Plumber his
online handle. DP) They keep saying this
sort of thing, but nothing happens. Says he... “Yeah…we hear that phrase all
the time.”
The phrase is usually uttered with much dramatic emphasis
and pointing stabbing fingers gestures.
Or perhaps a pounding on the podium or desk. The drama!
The phrase, itself, isn’t always used, but can be implied
I guess the pointing fingers and dramatic anger are to try
to convince the listener that it really IS…. once and for ALL. Even
though it isn’t.
This is going to be the mantra of the left and the right
this year 2018.
Muller, will get to the
bottom of the Russia collusion…..
We
will find out who is the source of the Trump Dossier and expose them…..
DACA
must be solved…………
Once and for ALL!!!!
Ever since noticing this….. we can’t stop noticing. Watching something on television, we will,
now, turn to each other, dramatically point fingers and in chorus say….ONCE AND FOR ALL. Cue
dramatic music……..dun dun duuuuuun!!!!!
As an inside joke between spouses, we think we are pretty
funny. However, I suspect that other
people, who have seen us do this, think we are pretty nuts.
This is one of the perks of being married. You can have stupid inside jokes and not
judge each other.

Awww. My hat is off to the happy couples here, and there are quite a few.
Take note of the number of times the earnest "Are you OK?" is asked in dramas. If you hear it frequently, the writers are phoning it in.
The dog makes me laugh.
I'm old fashioned: I still like Dramatic Chipmunk
"We've got to get to the bottom of this....once and for all!"
Shakespeare put paid to that particular alarum (yes, alarum. because I feel like it!):
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your Philosophy."
And in so doing, account yourselves fortunate.
Mueller is not there to get to the bottom of anything. He's there to keep the possibility of collusion alive while continously trolling for wrongdoing in real time. There is no credible reason why this should have taken longer than a couple of months but it's likely to continue through the rest of Trump's first 4 years in office by which time they'll have drummed up some new fictional (or, who knows, real) complaint.
If Trump started suing the major news outlets we might get somewhere. Evidenced would have to be produced, a lot of which, as I understand it is bogus. This would at least get both sides of the story out there.
I get the impression Trump does not really mind it, as it acts as a smokescreen so he can get other stuff accomplished.
