Speaking of peppy, I'm half way through a book about methamphetamine use by the Nazi soldiers in WW2. It's titled, Blitzed: Drugs in the 3rd Reich and certainly helps explain the blitzkieg tactic. Hitler claimed it was because of superior Aryan genes. Well..they did invent the drug. It's a good read.
spinelli -- If you have the stamina, The Third Reich: A History Of Nazi Germany by Thomas Childers is a great, if somewhat exhausting read. I had no idea it was so touch and go whether the Nazis would ever takeover the German government in the first place. Long story short -- Franz von Papen, the German chancellor in 1932, a deep stater if there ever was one, was confident that if a new government was formed with Hitler as chancellor and him as vice-chancellor, he could easily handle the upstart. The rest is history.

I watched this without sound and I thought she was having an epileptic seizure standing up.
