Overheard subway conversation

Harvey at IMAO says that he hates the artwork and that made this 10x funnier. It forces you to examine the artwork critically. The woman's outline stays the same while her expression changes dramatically and while the imaginary cartoon-camera goes closer and closer into the guy's face until the frame is just his lips and her face is contorted in Hell. Come on! That's fantastic. I love the artwork that Harvey hates. I saw it before and it wasn't this funny. He needs to stop hating it right now.

Off topic, except for the "Overheard" part. I was at the paint store again, and right next to the paint store is a used furniture store. I like to go in there and see if there are any cool gems lurking. Many years ago I found some Dunbar tables and flipped them on E-bay for a cool 500 bucks. Of course some guy in NY probably sold them for much more.

Anyway, I'm in the used furniture store and I hear the following---

Customer: "Tell me why I shouldn't buy this chair."
Dude clerk: "Because you have dogs and they pee on your furniture."
Customer: "I don't have dogs, I have tarantulas."

That's not something you hear everyday.

So I take it being a Muslim trumps all heresies against the received wisdom? Strictly rhetorical question.

DB@H - do you have any pictures of the Dunbar tables? Were they labeled as such? They do fetch a pretty penny in the right market, that's for sure.

Sixty - I no longer have the photos because it was several years ago. They were tagged with labels on the bottom. Not super exciting, but at the time I knew the labels would fetch me some money. They were large side tables, almost commercial looking. I purchased the pair for 70 bucks. Sold them on E-bay for 500 or 600. Probably sold at a retail store for 2000 to 3000 a pair.

Just found these on e-bay. Mine were not nearly as nice.

Well done, and that is a nice story. Turning a profit is always a good thing.

It was a fun little sale. Though, getting it shipped out was a pain.
