KLEM FM

This 1992 song could be the anthem for Antifa today: Sonic Youth's "Youth Against Fascism." Another song from the same album specifically called out North Carolina.

I speak from experience:

Calling G. H.W. Bush a "war pig fuck" did not shock me in 1992. Nor did the obvious siding with Anita Hill against Clarence Thomas. What woke me (pardon the pun) was coming back to the States a year later and being confronted with PC language changes which began under Clinton. I trace all the the worst of these times to those times. Others will see the seeds of Antifa in 1960's rebellion (I'm looking at you, ed), but I think there was something particularly sinister about the Clinton years.

Full lyrics after the jump:

Another can of worms
Another stomach turns
Yeah your ghetto burns
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

You got a stupid man
You got a Ku Klux Klan
Your fuckin' battle plan
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

A sieg heil-in' squirt
You're an impotent jerk
Yeah a fascist twerp
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

Black robe and swill
I believe Anita Hill
The judge will rot in hell
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

Yeah a cross on fire
By a Christian liar
A black attack and fire
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

Yeah the president sucks
He's a war pig fuck
His shit is out of luck
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

Another Nazi attack
Skinhead is cracked
My blood is black
It's the song I hate
It's the song I hate

...yada, yada...

Of course the Kim Gordon-Thurston Moore marriage had to end. How can you raise a child with that much enmity for fellow Americans?
