"Kentucky mayor wants to remove Confederate statues"

Via Drudge: “It’s the right thing to do,” he told The Washington Post on Sunday. “But doing it right is just as important.”

Gray conceded that even doing it right can have dangerous consequences.
Scott Adams seems to favor removing the statues if enough people are offended by them...

I think we should just cut to the end. Let's get rid of all statues of people. We can make it a legislative act. They can call it, "Don't Worship False Idols Act".

And let's do the same in regards to naming buildings, bridges, and marine vessels after people. And for F'sakes, outlaw naming cars, "Brad" and pull the license of anyone who does name their car, "Brad", because they are likely to be bad drivers.

Sounded like a lecture the pointy-haired boss would give.

It won't stop with the statues.

"How can you be proud of someone who's not you?" I'm sure he understands how absurd that question is.

This is what the Narzis did when they took over.

Only National Socialist-approved stuff was allowed.

Leland, great rant. MoveOn is kicking the right's ass. They beat up alt right people and the alt right are to blame. The left are destroying the 1st Amendment and rewriting history. As I have been predicting, Bannon will be given the boot and this Virginia clusterfuck is the pretext General Kelly will use. The Deep State and the left are chewing Trump up and they are about to spit him out. He was a Paper Tiger.

Dear corrupt left, go F yourselves said...

ISIS likes to remove historical stuff too.

History is scary.

If you wanted tribalism, you got it.

I'm sure it will all work out nicely as both sides destroy this formerly amazing nation so they can wave their flag over the ruins. America was special primarily becuase it was the least tribal nation in history. Our ancestors did that. They built that. We fucked it up, because we forgot how important that very rare thing was. We thought it was somehow guaranteed and didn't need to be protected. - protected from us, and our nature.

Never join a group with a black flag. It's no accident.

"Lexington, KY has an average 72% higher crime rate than the rest of Kentucky" You'd think Mayor McCheese(D) would get his priorities straight.

amper, The Lexington Mayor is doing what little Rahm in Chicago is doing, distracting from utter incompetence on their part.

I understand that you want universal disarmament. That you don't want to give back Antifa what they are giving to Trump and Trump supporters.

I kept telling you that if the left, the media and the Deep State used tactics to overthrow the expressed will of the people that it would end badly.

This is just the beginning. The armed militia protecting the original protesters are just the beginning. It is a civil war. This was Harpers Ferry.

Fort Sumter is on the way.

The press, the establishment Republicans, the cuck conservative commentors are all on the warpath to demand that Trump repudiate the Alt Right, Steve Bannon and white people in general. Nothing he can say or do will satisfy him. Only his resignation will suffice.

Identity Politics is the base of the Democratic Party. They are deathly afraid that white people will begin to practice. To say you are not a member of a tribe is foolish. You skin is what determines that not the content of your character. The liberals, the Media, Hollywood and the judiciary have made it so. It is too late in the game to change it now.

If Trump repudiates the people who elected him he is lost. I don't see him doing that yet. But if he sides with the Generals, the Neocons and the endless wars and throws away the white working class than he is doomed to be forced out of the Presidency. I don't think he is that stupid.

Bags is right that we fucked it up. But it is fucked up and it will not change for the better by refusing to recognize reality.

I went to Brooklyn Borough Hall to get help with something. The Borough President is black. Pretty much his entire staff is black. I was discriminated against and dismissed because I am white. It was as plain as the nose on your face.

Tribalism is here. It is the way it is now. To pretend otherwise is foolish.

No, but Marse Robert once owned a policy from New York Life (the company you keep - even through a civil war). The marketing types wanted an endorsement from him and were willing to give him 10 grand (which he desperately needed). He responded that it seemed to him they wanted to buy his good name and, because of that, he would have to decline.

That's true, but it was not the Nazis or the alt-right that elected him. There aren't enough of them to defend themselves against a snowflake army. I never net a single NAZI, and from the looks of them, I bet they're all single.

Tribalism's history is clear and uniform. It's nonstop war: killing, retribution, fear, hate, destruction, and descent - in short, failure. Mankind slogged through it for millennia.

Civilization, was an incredible miracle for our species, and American civilization was it's zenith, so far. I see no value in going backwards, giving up, letting the barbarians win by adopting their values. Whatever the short term reward, it's not worth the inevitable damage. In the end, even if you triumph for a while, you are soon weakened by your success and vulnerable to the rules you won by. Look at the tribes of history. All destroyed quickly. Civilization, cooperation, and inclusiveness have all the longs runs.

We will work this out eventually, but how we do it and what we champion makes all the difference.

You have mislabeled it bags. It's not tribalisms history. It is just history period.
