ice cream bowls

The whole time I was thinking, why bother when the bowls used to shape these things are so adorable themselves?

Then when I tore up the bowl and ate it with the ice cream like a crispy tortilla the whole time I was thinking, "oh man, this is ace."

Sugar on sugar I can actually feel it right in my teeth. Like potato chips and ice cream except sweet instead of salty.

Then the idea of a pile of potato chips with ice cream seemed really great.

And the best thing about this whole experiment is I can do that right now.

I haven't a sweet tooth; I have a "lard-tooth."

I get a "lard-on" for chips and fries.

Hungry now.

Salty stuff tastes great with ice cream. A roommate of mine years ago taught me this, when he introduced me to eating pretzels with ice cream. I scoffed; he said, "try it." He was right.

Nowadays "salted caramel" ice cream is the thing, but my friend from years ago was way ahead of the curve on this one.

My mother-in-law would eat pickles w/ chocolate cake. Same concept of salty and sweet. I'm going to try pretzels and ice cream. In the midwest, it's tough to find my favorite ice cream and a staple back east, the classic maple walnut. I hardly ever see it @ ice cream shops and never in the freezer aisle. We just got back from Nova Scotia and I ate my fill of great, high fat, maple walnut ice cream. Hosers know ice cream.

I had some ice cream back in the 1980s. Haven't had any since.

My grandfather would have a pickle after dessert or had eaten something sweet. He said he needed something to "cut" the sweetness.
