“Think as I think,” said a man, “or you are abominably wicked; you are a toad.” And after I thought of it, I said, “I will, then, be a toad.” ― Stephen Crane
Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of personally meeting one of Lem's intrepid quippers. Not only did he welcome me to his farm, he also fired up (not one, but two of his four!) tractors, his 1946 and '47 John Deere two-lungers, for my viewing and listening pleasure. (Both in excellent condition, as you would expect.)We had a pleasant but far too-short conversation in his pole barn. I hope we can meet again sometime for a longer one.Thank you my good friend AllenS for your time and hospitality.John
Thank you for the kind words John.
Always nice to hear about Lem folks getting together.
And, I've always been a fan of Al Green.
That's all well and good, but what about the bulldozer - Allen has a freakin' bulldozer!
Forgot to show John the bulldozer. It's in a different building. I bought an Al Green cd through Lem's Amazon thing quite a while ago. Love it.
AL is the man.You can get some great music if you watch Soul Train videos on Youtube.
Damn, now I got to go all the way back there to see the bulldozer.
That man is soul perfected. Is there anyone who doesn't like his singing? I bet even Mohammed would like it.
John, I'll send you some pictures. LOL!
