"Wisconsin Company To Implant Microchips In Employees"

Via Reddit: "It's the next thing that's inevitably going to happen, and we want to be a part of it," Three Square Market Chief Executive Officer Todd Westby said.

The company designs software for break room markets that are commonly found in office complexes.

Just as people are able to purchase items at the market using phones, Westby wants to do the sam thing using a microchip implanted inside a person's hand.

"We'll come up, scan the item," he explained, while showing how the process will work at an actual break room market kiosk. "We'll hit pay with a credit card, and it's asking to swipe my proximity payment now. I'll hold my hand up, just like my cell phone, and it'll pay for my product."

Nope. I'd find a new company.

And people thought that Photoshop of Mr Gates as a Borg with the motto, "Resistance Is Futile. You Will Be Assimilated", was funny.

That's funny.

Then Facebook will be tracking all purchases of everyone all the time so the information can be sold to marketers for better advertisement targeting, all the while denying strenuously they're not tracking.

But they're not the only ones.

I just now saw "Your advertising ID" " on my Android. A very long number, and my impulse was toss my phone out window onto the driveway pavement 5 stories down.

Settings / Google / Ads

But I'd rather mention something else more delightful and a bit odd.

Yesterday there was mention all over the place about the writer calling white women racist for not noticing his presence when he walks down the street.

I just now stepped out for the first time today to grab a bite to eat.

There's hardly anyone out this Sunday evening.

Crossing Broadway, as you might imagine, a rather broad way, I was alone on the crossing and there were no cars at that moment.

Halfway across a young man who towered over me by at least six inches and outweighed me by at least another whole person, rushed up from behind and took position beside me and walked along side at my pace. See, he went very fast to catch up from nowhere, to sudden turtle's pace. I looked up at him while walking, craning my neck, and said, "Hello there."

He said, "Hello there. Gotchyer back."

He actually got my side, protecting me from invisible cars, apparently. But who's going to argue fine points?

Now that right there is experience contrary to what I read online.

Then back in my building a guy was trying to get in. He was delivering a package and the resident told him via callbox she'd come down to get her package.

"I'll open the door if you care to come in."

He said, "She's coming down to sign,"

"You can meet her at the elevator.

So he did. He walked ahead, the woman signed, he turned around and departed before I could make it to the elevator. When I got there the woman perceived all that happened and held open the elevator the whole time. Even though she could have dashed off.

As people did before a long time ago.

But not now. See, that is another difference about human grace extended to strangers that never sees its due share in my online reading. Two such incidents in one simple and fast episode.

I'll only mention the protracted conversation about television shows with the young man at the sandwich shop. He was genuinely interested in continuing our conversation.

I'm telling you, I am really digging all these gorgeous gracious young people all around that I encounter every single day. They completely outshine the characterizations of them that I read constantly all over the place online. The things written are about the outlying disrupters and that does no good to the vast majority of very well bred young generation Americans. We read about political activists and about privileged college students and those people are not representative of everyone else.

That 6' 8" guy was amusing. Cute in his manner. His pants didn't fit.
