What is absolutely never coming back in style again?

Reddit top rated comments...

The use of beeswax on the face to cover up smallpox scars.

Powdered wigs with buckled shoes and knickers. It's been a solid 200+ years, and that fashion still hasn't made a comeback.

My Grandparents used to tell me how when they were younger it was 'the thing' for someone to get all of their teeth pulled and wear dentures instead.
To this day I still don't know if they were shitting me but that is something I never see coming back as a trend.

The Urban Sombrero.

AOL instant messenger.

The Hitler mustache.

Wearing a sword everywhere.

Bill Cosby being the spokesperson for Jell-O.

These posts are fun, but style and fashion is something I am the worst at. I would have said saggy pants on young men- but its been 20 years of that going strong.

If I change the intention of the post 180 degrees I might take a stab at predicting the next trend: masculine men and feminine women. There has got to be a pushback or reaction to the silliness going on currently- similar to how preppy made a comeback right after grunge.

I never thought large unkempt beards would make a come back.

I read somewhere that in the good old days lice were a much greater plague then they are today. People would shave their heads in order to get rid of them. Shaved bald heads were not so stylish back then, and thus powdered wigs came into fashion. Also lapdogs were bred for their lice attracting properties. Lice apparently jump to the warmest body. If you sat with a dog in your lap, the lice would head for the dog. Many people believe that lapdogs were originally bred to be low cost snacks for mastiffs but that is not the case. They were bred to be lice magnets.............Bedbugs are making a comeback. Perhaps lice will find some way to proliferate once again, but, even so, I don think powdered wigs will ever be taken up........The interesting thing about powdered wigs is their persistence. I don't see how they add much to reverence for the law and its traditions, but there they are in all their silly glory that n English courtrooms. London stockbrokers got rid of their bowlers and brollys. Perhaps some day the barristers will get rid of their powdered wigs.

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that typewriters are very collectible, so don't throw away your chastity belts.

Wigs are making a comeback, though. For women. Only a matter of time before the betas coopt the trend.

As were duelling and a short rope and a long drop.

PS The hung jury would tend to indicate Ms Allred hasn't made her case.
