A Throne of Bones
I have just finished reading "A Throne of Bones" by Vox Day. For those of you who enjoyed "A Game of Thrones" I will really recommend that you get this book and start reading this series. It is extremely well done.
Vox Day uses the same format that Rape Rape used in Thrones. He starts each chapter off from a different perspective. However there are several different aspects to his work. He uses some of the conventions from Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" in that there are elves and dwarves and orcs and goblins. As well as a stand in for the Roman Empire and the politics of the change over from Republic to Empire,
I zipped through it in two days and am on to book 2. It is a series and I am sure I will be waiting around for the next few books to be published.
I think this is in fact superior to Game of Thrones and I recommend it to all fantasy fans in the highest way possible. Get it if you can. You will be glad you did.

Where did you get it? It's $27 on Amazon and B&N.
I got it as a kindle ebook for around $7.99
The good thing about kindle is I get it on my computer, ipad and iphone. So I was reading it everywhere. It can automatically sync up to the last part read. It is pretty cool.
I had a doctor's appointment today and I don't like driving there.
I went way early and combined the trip with stop by garden nursery. As it happens the nursery is due East from me. Two blocks North and a million blocks East. So a map looks like this:
●---------------------------------------> 14th --------------------------------->---------------------------------------------------●
And that puts me far East as the doctor's office but much farther North. I took Monaco all the way south. So a map from the plant nursery to the dr.'s office loos like this:
●---------------------------------------> Monaco ------------------------------>--------------------------------------------------●
And I started out so early that I had time to actually shop at the nursery. I knew precisely what to buy. I needed to replace the plants ordered online killed by the overnight chill. What a bummer! But now that situation is fixed with better plants. I was amazed the nursery has in abundance precisely what I went there to find. I was in, bang, out, just like that. And at the dr.'s twenty minutes early.
Monaco St. is an old stomping ground. I've driven it 1,000 times. And today, after a long gap, the length of road was unrecognizable.
It was fun. I'll go back for more filler plants.
