Toby Keith not only loves freedom; he knows who gave him that freedom. He also knows that participating in the inauguration is a tribute to all Americans, not just some or one.
Then again, Trump, unlike many celebrities, never thumbed his nose to country music singers. Further, Trump's brand has always included being proud of the United States.
Yeah, I succumbed to bad judgment earlier this morning and clicked on one of those Bing! news clickbait things down at the bottom of the screen about Democrats boycotting some aspect of the inauguration. Ended up at some MSM site, maybe ABC on MSN. God that was painful. Stupid on top of ugly on top of deceitful on top of stupid on top of ugly on top of deceitful. I don't know how you people take a steady diet of that stuff.
Not me. It'll rot your brain and poison your soul. Seriously.
I mean, seriously, where do your thoughts come from? What do you think about? How are you alive and conscious of being alive? We are, among other things, a system of information processing systems. Garbage in, garbage out.
I want to be clean. Think clean. Think clean thoughts.
Someday I'll be dead. But until then, I want to be alive, and to live a good life.
This is why I changed my search engine. I like Bing. The daily pictures are awesome. But the clickbait was killing me. Beside being inane topics; it builds anxiety that Idiocracy is just around the corner.
My primary New Year resolution is to cut back on my news intake. This is because of the general uptake that comes during an election year. Generally, I avoid "news", because I know most of it is simply marketing. "It bleeds it leads" isn't about making society better, but about making news sensational such that others pay attention, and thus hopefully pay attention to the commercial or print ad that comes next. When nothing is bleeding, then the news has to make other things sensational. When people like me simply stop their newspaper subscription and don't tune in to broadcast news (and now cable news); then they move the "news" to sports (see ESPN, which shows about 3 hours of sports every night surrounded by 21 hours of news, most of it trying to relate non-sport discussions to sports). The latest now just seems to implanting news into search engine.
These links existed in the past, but its had gotten more insidious. Microsoft, which lost a major monopoly court case in the EU for including IE with its OS, now demands you switch to Edge, which sole difference seems to be to provide you news clickbait whenever you just open it. How come IE is monopolistic but Edge is just fine? It almost seems like it gets a pass because it serves the Prog agenda of making everything about news and subsequently politics. Once everyone gets worked about this nonsense, they'll beg for socialism to control society for us. Personally, I think most of this is manufactured BS to make me care about things I don't.
The inauguration just needs to be a swearing in ceremony and then either get back to work. Or cut regulations and legislation, such that the federal government is less important; and then go play golf. I recommend the latter, and then we can all go see some performance on our own time on our own dime.
You know what kills me? This pishing sites that come up that tell you that you won a free ipad or a Walmart gift card. You are reading some reputable site and all of sudden that pops up. It mostly happens on the Ipad. Very annoying.
I agree with Leland. We are being played. And being played big time. The way I see it, my only practical option is to tune out. The guy who cut my hair last Saturday was in low-grade astonishment that I knew precisely zip about the news and had no opinion on current events.

Easy with the f bombs Trooper. Google ads are very sensitive. 😱👎🏽
I do note most of those who have bowed out have that herd mentality so necessary to the Left.
But, yeah, good for Keith.
And a puckish truth from Poot.

I got my hair cut all the same. And he got paid.
Seems to me that things worked out just fine.
I want these guys to play, too.
