I adjusted quit a bit in Photoshop to get it to be a sliver but it remained a blob. The star was just a dot, and the only dot I could see in the sky. Also a bright parking lot light was totally interfering.
Yeah, we photographer types have a hard time getting these things right.

One is the moon, but the other smaller light seems too big to be one of the planets.
I cannot see the moon from where I'm at right now but it seemed more of a sliver.

I have never, not even once, ever looked at the night sky and thought about politics.
