Denver Secret Service agent posts on FaceBook she will "look the other way" if someone attempts to assassinate Trump

Kerry O'Grady holds a top well-paid position with Secret Service in Denver. She is a Hillary Clinton supporter who believes Trump is unfit for office and will be especially catastrophic for women and for minorities. While critiquing judgement she shows questionable judgement herself by publishing her feelings acknowledging concern that she is in violation of the Hatch Act. You see, her feelings and her moral light outshines her lesser concerns.

It's about political feelings.
"As a public servant for nearly 23 years, I struggle to not violate the Hatch Act. So I keep quiet and skirt the mdeian. To do otherwise can be a criminal offense for those in my position. Despite the fact that I am expected to take a bullet for both sides. But this world has changed and I have changed. And I would take jail time over a bullet or an endorsement for what I believe to be a disaster to this country and the strong and amazing women and minorities who reside here. Hatch Act be damned. I am with Her.”
People do not like what they read. A dog pile is in progress at the moment calling for Kerry O'Grady to be fired forthwith.

But before that Kerry O'Grady was lauded for her leadership.

You don't have to be a member of Twitter to search it.  Twitter [kerry o'grady] gives results that include other Kerrys and other O'Gradys. At the top, most heavily, and throughout, is the dog pile. Before that, lower in the list and earlier by date, Feb 4th, are the compliments to her leadership.

* Wake up, show up, leave nothing on the field - Kerry O'Grady. Exceptional speaker @cowomenschamber #CWCCluncheon

* Never sacrifice what is right for what is convenient--Kerry O'Grady, US Secret Service @cowomenschamber

* "Be transparent, if you give people your reasons, they will follow you" - Kerry O'Grady on leadership.

* Have the moral courage to make hard decisions- Kerry O'Grady, Special Agent in Charge, United States Secret Service

There you have it. Have the moral courage to quit your job and find another that suits your perfection.

Then the shitstorm, a phenomenon for which Twitter is famed. Odd that, O'Grady's post is on FaceBook, not Twitter, but just as bad a place for providing the means for otherwise lucid people to commit occupational suicide caught up in the moment. Such a careless mistake that puts one's judgement and commitment to question. The commitment is not to the job, that can be held by a someone not conflicted with political moral fidelity. And even that is hugely debatable. It can be argued, and is argued,  her commitment is to her own moral preening, and to political crime syndicate, not to Secret Service.

On Twitter presently this worsens with each passing minute. A snapshot:

* There is no way Kerry O'Grady can continue in her position with @SecretService in light of her statements.

* Senior Secret Service Kerry O'Grady supports the #WomesMarch. Does that  mean she supports blowing up the White House? Fire Her #YoureFired

* Kerry O'Grady is the secret service agent who says she wouldn't take a bullet for our president. Not sure why she still has a job. #MAGA

* @SecretService agent Kerry O'Grady's proclaiming she's UNWILLING to perform her SWORN duties for PARTISAN reasons presents THREAT to POTUS!

* Get her out!   Kerry O'Grady, Secret Service Agent

* Kerry O'Grady makes close to $100k after 23 years, thats a lot of money to refuse doing your job.. "Senior Secret Service" #PresidentTrump🇺🇸

* Is the "Senior Secret Service" Kerry O'Grady telling other SS agents not to protect the president? We don't know that she's not.  Fire her.

* Secret Service Agent won't take a bullet for @POTUS. What the hell kind of example does that set? Drain the Swamp

* Kerry O'Grady needs to be fired. Traitors do not belong anywhere near the #POTUS or the whitehouse.

* Kerry O'Grady, Senior SECRET SERVICE said in FB" I WILL LOOK TO ANOTHER SIDE IF SOMEBODY KILL HIM" (no mention name) and APPLAUDE!

My dad told me in the military branches it doesn't matter what your opinion is of the president. Service member's political opinions are irrelevant to the job. Service members cede their opinion upon signing up. They are pawns, soldiers, not policy makers. That is a different job.

But even without that attitude or that policy, it is still the job. Kerry O'Grady is publishing that she is unwilling to do her actual job. And she's so brilliant! Maybe she needn't be fired. Maybe she can be reassigned to their counterfeit division since she avers proficiency with spotting fakes.

Hillary Clinton Role-Model - Women's March re-make

How?

I see radical leftwing femi-nazi Hillary supports as especially catastrophic for women, children and minorities.

lol! I scrolled down just now. Lem beat me to it.

That "look the other way" line has been a TV/movie cliché for a while, now.

At the very least she is signaling that she is not interested in a promotion. This is not someone who should go any higher.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for insterest tips. Feel free to email me.

Diversity Hire.

Or possibly pussy grab (do the math and she was hired when Willie was grazing on "public (possibly pubic) servants")

By her own big mouth.

And not in a good way.

rhhardin said...

She's a woman so Trump would take a bullet for her, in the normal course of events.

One of those White House action films has the secret service guy trying to off the president.

I think it was white supremacist or military industrial guys opposed to peace the president was trying to make.

Apparently he hadn't gotten far enough into the peace process to see it blow up in his face, in the plot.

It was not just one drunk night twitter or facebook comment. She has a pattern of being a nut case. Get rid of her.

If only popularity, respect and goodwill could be bought and sold - like every other Republican form of power.

Maybe someday. One can hope. Until then there's always intimidation, appeals to conformity and fantasies of mind control.

"Until then there's always intimidation, appeals to conformity and fantasies of mind control."

None of that applies here. In this case we have a deeply politicized Secret Service and indeed the entire Intelligence community indulging in the same fantasy that CNN celebrated where they tried to come up with a way to kill Trump and Pence and enough other people so an Obama appointee would become President in their place. It is both dangerous and pernicious.

You will recall the controversy where the Press freaked out that Trump wanted to keep some of his own security around him in addition to Secret Service. Once again Donald Trump knows what he is talking about.

We need to drain the swamp in the law enforcement and intelligence communities.

I am very disappointed that he is keeping Comey at the FBI. That is a big mistake.

Crankipants didn't see Gallup's rating of popular Presidents.

The Darky Messiah comes in just below Richard Nixon while Trump's is booming because he's actually getting things done people want - like those pipelines.

Right now, he's a good 10 points ahead of Black Jesus.

There may be method in his madness.

Keep your enemies closer, give them the rope to hang themselves, etc.

Personally, I was hoping he'd give David Clarke the job, but we'll see.

Who knows what average rating means. (Probably whatever lucid thinker, hater of blacks and Jesus ed wants it to mean). There is no continuous poll. What matters are ratings upon leaving office. On that score, Obama did fine. Also, ratings upon entering office are important. Orange Rug enters office with less than 50%. Bad news - especially given his unprecedentedly bitchy campaign and inability to win a popular majority of voters by nearly three million. He then proceeds to do everything he can to drive it down further. If he manages to get it into an unrecoverable ~30%, that might spell the end.

My criticisms here in no way apply to anything Trooper's said or saying, BTW. He and I don't agree on everything, but he comes to these things honorably and with his sympathies clear, and understandable. Unlike so many others, he doesn't seem to just twist this to meet a partisan objective. He's already made clear that Trump is no perfect partisan, and that's honesty enough in my book these days. It's because of Troop, not the partisans needing to glom off a Trump administration, that I continue to give the president and the country as he's leading it a chance.

Most everyone else here is not being honest about their agenda or what they're trying to achieve within the whole YES-Trump-NO-Trump maelstrom.

ed, I really like David Clarke. But, he is not an FBI Chief, IMO. Make him Chief US Marshal. That would fit his skills.

edutcher said...

You may be right.

I just trhink the guy is a straight shooter, which is what's needed there.

Methadras said...

You can't have someone like this working in the SS. It is antithetical to their primary mission. If she is willing to express these views towards President Trump, then she cannot be trusted that she won't take it further.

Trooper York said...

I think most of the people here are relatively honest in their appraisals. Some of us like ed and me are unabashed Trump partisans. While still seeing his many faults and fault lines if you will. Some here just don't like Trump and will pick any nit to put him down. They want to be validated in their opposition.

What is screwing up that narrative is what Trump is actually doing. He is putting in very competent people into the Cabinet. No yes men. Substantial people who had success in life. Not academics whose only accomplishments are getting blow jobs from coeds. He will be picking a stellar conservative pick for the Court. All of this nonsense about the crowd size is just a misdirection. The moron press is chasing the squirrel. In the meantime he just approved two pipelines. Froze hiring. Started the repeal of Obamacare. Started the process of co-opting the labor movement for his deplorable revolution. Substantiative things that the press and the opposition are just ignoring because the God Emperor is bamboozling them.

I suggest that those of us who post here not get bamboozled either. Pay attention to the substance. Decide if you like it or not. There will be a lot of stuff that Ritmo will like if he just gives it a chance. That is why people who are genuine like Jim Brown are willing to give him a chance.

It has only been four days. Why does it seem like he has been President for months?

Trooper York said...

I think nick is right about Sheriff Clarke.

Personally I would name Carlos T. Fernandez as director. My friend who is in the FEEBs and my other friend in the Intelligence Squad of the NYPD say he is the real deal.

He is my candidate.

Comey has been compromised.

Not like Hoover was with those photos of him in a dress that Frank Costello kept in his vault.

But compromised all the same.

I think the notion of "taking a bullet" is a bit antiquated, so if she had mention something among colleagues in casual private conversation; I wouldn't care. Just like I don't care that Trump likes horny women who are turned on by celebrity, especially if they too are a hot celebrity, and he shares this information in casual private conversation.

But she made her comments specifically to the public, acknowledging she was violating a law in specifically the way the law was intended to prevent. For that reason, she should be fired.

Has any Secret Service ever taken a bullet? If I'm Trump, I would want the Secret Service giving bullets, not taking them, if my life was being threatened.

Trooper York said...

A real Irishman and Secret Service Agent Tim McCarthy took a bullet to protect President Reagan when that knucklehead Hinckley shot at him.

That was when the Secret Service and the Cops had the right kind of people. Big tough Irish guys who didn't take any shit.

Not the mutts and affirmative action scum that Obama has put in place.

Trooper York said...

Tim McCarthy spread his body over President Reagan and took a bullet that was meant for him.

edutcher said...

Problem is, Pissy was allowed to weaponize and politicize these agencies so people like this could play favorites.

The job is protect without partisanship. If her pussy can't do it, she should resign or face prosecution if she doesn't.

Just like the Army.

rcocean said...

"This worthless piece of shit that is the agent in charge has to be an affirmative action hire promoted for political purposes."

Its pretty obvious. What's the ratio of men to women who want to be secret service agents? I'd bet 100-1. She probably got a job a lot better men should have gotten.

Trump needs to grab her pussy and throw them both out the door.

m9777 said...

Did she not just FakeBook her job/career good-bye? If, why not? I wouldn't want this bimbo working at TSA!

m9777 said...

Meant to say "if not, why not?"

Leland said...

Thanks Troop, that was about the only incident I thought could have happened, or perhaps something in which an agent was shot investigating an issue away from the President. But I realized another fallacy with my thought process. Regardless of whether she should or shouldn't take a bullet; to her, taking a bullet is a metaphor for doing her job, and she is acknowledging she won't do her job, and she'll violate the law (she admits violating the Hatch Act) to tell everyone about it.

William said...

I hope they reassign her to the Hillary Clinton detail and Hillary starts throwing things at her or Bill Clinton starts dry humping her in front of the other agents--not that she'd mind.......If they put enough of this shit out there, pretty soon it's going to fall in the wrong skull. It's particularly egregious when you consider what her job is........Back in the late 19th century civil service reform was a thing. They felt that the spoils system infested the civil service with political appointees instead of honest, qualified employees. This has worked out well. Now they have competitive exams to insure that only the most true believing Dem operatives can serve in the federal government. In the corrupt old days, there were a lot of Republicans in government jobs.
