I watched Glengarry Glen Ross the other night - I was pleasantly surprised - I enjoyed it. That is a well written, well acted movie. I like David Mamet's take on high pressure slimy sales techniques - he wrote dialogue that seemed realistic to me - it reminded me of the guys in sales I used to work with.
But what I liked most was the way the plot hinged on just two words - spoiler alert - when Jack Lemmon's character says "make up" when he is verbally abusing Kevin Spacey's character, the jig is up. That's good writing right there.
I thought Jack Lemmon looked like hell in this movie, so I checked his bio - turns out he was my age when he filmed it. Hmm...
I am starting to get the impression that working in movies is not a healthy life style.
My computer is in the shop - too much dust and cat hair clogged up the fan. I am typing this on my phone - what a royal pain. The good news is I can now find productive things to do. And there was much rejoicing in the world o' blogs.

I watched Glengarry several years ago. The consummate ensemble-cast movie.
Time travel - It's important to tuck and roll.
I like what the cast members called it, based on what was considered strong language back in those days, "Death of a Fucking Salesman".
Cool, Sixty hadn't heard that.
April, don't forget keep your mouth open.

(1) Whatever his shortcomings, Barack Obama seems to me to be a person of dispassionate temperament.
(2) I thought Glengarry Glen Ross was a pretty good movie.
He is a petulant twit of the first water. Talk about thin skinned. He is much more thin skinned then even the really thin skinned Donald Trump.
What a joke.
I watched the "Titanic" pilot episode of "Time Tunnel" last night. Good stuff.
