"A 7-year-old told her bus driver she couldn’t wake her parents".

For more than a day, the 7-year-old girl had been trying to wake her parents.

Dutifully, she got dressed in their apartment outside Pittsburgh on Monday morning and went to school, keeping her worries to herself. But on the bus ride home, McKeesport, Pa., police say, she told the driver she’d been unable to rouse the adults in her house.

Inside the home, authorities found the bodies of Christopher Dilly, 26, and Jessica Lally, 25, dead of suspected drug overdoses, according to police.

Also inside the home were three other children — ages 5 years, 3 years and 9 months. (More)

Tell me again how drug abuse is "recreational".

Hindus believe in reincarnation, so that is, in a way, being recreated.

Kids, don't do smack.

The most mature person in the house was seven years of age, and that was before the parents wasted themselves. One hopes that the grandparents are somewhat better equipped to handle this most basic of animal functions: Raising the young.

Clicking through to the article they're treating an OD as a homicide? I don't think they can do that without specific changes in the law. And I get that it's super tragic and horrible. What it's not is homicide. "Homicide" isn't a word used to reflect how terrible it is that someone died. It means someone killed you.

Not homicide or suicide. It was an open policy of mutual assured destruction.

This is why I don't have kids. You can't enjoy self-destructive behavior without everyone getting all judgemental. That, plus the vasectomy and preference for older broads and I can do whatever I want.

No ed, it's "tell me again that drug use affects no one but the users".

The guy in the Philippines has the right idea.

Better yet legalize it all and let them kill themselves.

So your emotions rule.

Democrats rule.

Sad rule equals no rights for anyone: don't you see Joe Kennedy and what his bequeathed have shown you is their only goal?

Answer, you fucks, why alcohol was prohibited in America. There were, and yes sadly are, reasons to rid the world of demon rum.

No modern strategy can, much less would, have the will to blatantly publicwise do so currently, even were it insanely profitable as is was prohibition, yet you idiots just feel feel feel so tenderly you invite abuse you later claim is "unAmerican" by lib judges corrupt n' stuff.

You are corrupt. Your feelings give more incentives to the most powerful agencies the world has ever known to Advance!

Conrad Black?

Senators?

Martha Stewart?

You idiots don't get it. Your fears are going to get you killed. I have to become an FDR man now, you fucking assholes.

FUCK YOU.

Just a thought experiment, but do you think, 50 thousand years or so ago, folks were getting high? I'm inclined to think that might be the case. Don Juan, no matter his particular reality, seemed to have a handle on this, and much else besides.

I'm sure 50,000 years ago, those getting high weren't given a government safety net with money taken from others producing to cover for the occasional shortfall of those getting high. Perhaps you have tree ring data showing otherwise?
