My brother is so funny. He's a lot more charming than I am.

I wrote to him about the sourdough culture that I had him collect for me in Antioch and suggested he have his wife try it. They're in nearby Concord now, but same thing, yeast culture-wise.

He complied, but carelessly as all hell. He was not into the task but wanted to please me. A tree branch fell into the collection slurry, a squirrel got into it, leaves blew into it, the dog ate it. He replenished the water and flour, dirt blew in, leaves and sticks blew in, then he got tired of the project, gave up, packaged it carelessly, it leaked in the mail and I used a mere 1 teaspoon to inoculate a cup of fresh slurry and it became the best culture of all my yeast collections. Much better than the 5 or so S.F. cultures I bought online.

So I did the same thing here in Denver and that now is my most powerful culture of all. It really is amazing.

He uses a breadmaker. So silly. He answered back. I'll c/p his response.

Mind, he's born again Christian and raising his two children in sweet Christian manner.

You amaze the Fuck outta me man!!! That is some Kool Shit. Wow!!! Just Gees Wow!! Fuckin' A, No Shit

I wish I had a good bread maker recipe for my wife, I'm tired of the same ol 5 year old recipe. Same shit I was tired of 4 years ago still haunting me. No new yeast, bugs or foreign anything. Got any good breadmaker recipes? I'm dying over here Bread Maker Aficionado Dude

end c/p

If you met him, you would adore him. Everybody does. So good natured.

The Beast only comes out the first half of the week.

I doubt this is by choice.

Dear corrupt left, go F yourselves said...

A day cruise. The men only have the clothes on their backs, the women packed a few suitcases full of outfits. OK just checking.

If you think I am not serious...

Why limit or direct the question to Trooper York? I suggest throwing it out there to the wind that blows where it pleases and see what answers come up.

I also encourage you to consider meeting with a Spiritual Director who can gracefully help you find and get to the heart of the matter.

I always take along sexy kitten outfits and a variety of cocktail dresses on a 3 hour tour.

No burkini, tho.

You should go to both churches and give each a chance. Of course I think you should pick that Catholic Church but you need the find the one that speaks to your spiritual needs. Get to know some of the people and get a feel for the congregation. I have no doubt that both will welcome you with open arms and try to welcome you to their communion.

The say that all politics are local. The older I get the more I think religion works the same way. The leader of a congregation has a big effect on the spiritual life of his people. Just going every week will have a very positive effect on your life and on your family. Listen to the stories. Reflect on how they relate to your life. Ask God for help. You will find it there.

I hope that God blesses you with his forgiveness and love.

rcommal, Troop's advice on churches is very sound and good. I hope you find what you are looking for.

A willingness to look into whatever is driving the need to question others and appear to share something of yourself, rcommal, and then delete your part when others respond with sincerity, charity or truth, will lead to growth and enhance whatever church experience you might choose to enter.

The snide remarks are another story. As is the shrugging when accompanied by anger and intensity.

When the cry of the heart involves a mixed message, like connect-don't connect, something deep is involved that is worth looking into as it covers the beauty and vibrancy of the true self.
