A new USA Today poll revealsthat Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump has dropped to 5 points, 45.6% to 40.4%. Clinton had led Trump by 11 points in May, 50% TO 39%.
Her lead drops even further, to four points (39%-35%), when third-party candidates Gary Johnson (Libertarian) and Jill Stein (Green) are added into the mix.
The poll was conducted among 1,000 likely voters, with a margin of error of 3%.
USA Today adds:
Clinton commands more positive allegiance than Trump. By more than 3-1, 74% to 22%, Clinton supporters say they are mostly voting for her, not against him. Trump’s backers are more evenly divided on their motivation: 48% are mostly voting for him; 39% are mostly voting against her.Still, Trump supporters are a bit more likely to say they’re “excited” about the election, 27% compared to 24%. Clinton supporters are a bit more likely to say they’re “alarmed,” 62% to 56%.And those in both camps vow their views are set in stone: More than nine of 10 of Clinton supporters and of Trump supporters say they is no chance they would switch to the other side. Just 12% of those surveyed are undecided, a smaller percentage than in the Suffolk Poll taken during the summer of the presidential race four years ago.In the survey, 53% have an unfavorable opinion of Clinton; 60% have an unfavorable opinion of Trump. Nearly one in five respondents hold a negative view of them both — a swing group whose lesser-of-two-evils choice could determine the outcome of a competitive election, says David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center.
(For some reason, USA Today claims: “Rounding would make the lead six points.” However, the difference between Clinton’s and Trump’s poll numbers, 5.2%, would still be rounded down to 5.)
Commentary: Of course polls are worthless especially since there are so many events that are going to effect the race. So there is no reason to celebrate or despair. Only good reason to laugh at fools who cry about Trump and demand that he be removed because of some other poll. Get over yourselves losers.

You'd want a sample of about 3000, but likely voters and MOE of 3 is where you want to be.
The fact she does worse when the real world lineup is thrown in says (to me, anyway) a lot of Demos want to vote for anybody but her.
Consider during the primaries, Trump got more youth votes than Cacklepants, also more than either Romney or Junior. Bernie got the lion's share, but it seems da yoots aren't falling back on Hillary. This must have the Demos worried, as some polls say 25% of Bernies would be willing to go Trump.
For July 4th, these are anything but bad numbers (April will be along to tell us how horrible they are). Few Republicans go into the convention this tight.
The problem is that none of these polls tell what we really need to know, namely how is Trump polling in "Battleground" states like FL, Ohio, Va, Penn, and Iowa.
And didn't some poll show Trump/Hillary tied?
But all irrelevant anyway. The whole six pointed star thing has doomed his candidacy.

"Horrible old orange man with pretty younger wife threatens American womanhood."
That is the gist of what I hear.

One had him doing quite well IIRC, but you're right about individual states. That PA is considered a tossup is a victory in and of itself.

Yes, Hillary has the the vote of the, what did she call them again?, "fucking Jew bastards", all sewn up.
Guess what. Hillary will keep Loretta Lynch if she becomes president.

Remember what I told you all with her meeting with Bill. However, that entire meeting was a bullshit smokescreen and it is proven by how the media and Bill's lack of comment on it have shown up. It wasn't spontaneous as was once reported, it was a deliberate and calculated Clinton move and Lynch was either suckered or compelled to do it. Now, ask yourself how this could happen when logistically it would have taken does to make happen. All of this could have been handled with a phone call between them, off the record, and no one would have known, but nope. The optics (aka perception) was deliberate to cast doubt on the entire process.
And now I hear that there may be rumblings within the FBI not to indict. Color me shocked. Clintons and Obama stooges skate again.
Considering Hillary burned her daily schedule, how does Bill obtain the AG's daily schedule?
That the press hasn't hounded Bill to explain tells you whose side they are on. Another southern white Democrats make sure a house black knows her place, yet only Republicans seem to care.

That's what the sources say, but I have a feeling Lynch is going to need to spend more time with her family.
Well, here's an encouraging note, 82% in a VA poll say Cacklepants should be prosecuted.
Granted, a an Internet poll, but a surprising result.
