In a sweeping victory for LGBT activists concerned about the recent slew of so-called "bathroom bills," the White House on Thursday announced that President Obama would be issuing a transgender bathroom decree which would protect students in public school districts across the country. The decree, which is set to be delivered to schools on Friday, addresses fears some have expressed that banning transgender students from using the bathroom of their identified-gender could result in bullying or violence against those students. In a statement to The New York Times on Thursday evening, Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. reaffirmed the president's beliefs that transgender students were owed protections that the numerous bathroom bills circling state politics otherwise stripped. (read the whole thing)

I'm fairly certain that schools are regulated by the states. I know the federal government via the DeptEd likes to play with grants, but I think that would acquire changing appropriations. This should go badly for Obama and Transgender in the courts.

So the House, which constitutionally controls the federal govt's purse strings, can't cut funds from Sanctuary cities but the President can cut funds from non-compliant schools?

Everyone who voted for Obama thinks this is a good idea. No camels were injured in that election.
And, for the record, we know who you are.
Hillary has campaigned on continuing Obama's policies as a de facto third term. So, is she on board with this as well?

I voted for Obama in 2008. I have done my mea culpa's. I was wrong. Made a stupid, emotional mistake. And I think this is a horrible idea and that Obama is the worst President in my lifetime, surpassing Carter in his usurping the Constitution his 2nd term.
Expect a lawsuit. The Feds got slapped down by the Supreme Court for trying to use the withholding of Medicare funds as a threat if the States did not set up their exchanges. The Court decided that they could not make setting up the exchanges contingent on keeping Medicare funds.
This set up a cascade of events. As a result many of the States, most of them actually, did not set up the State Exchanges. Didn't expand Medicare at the State level, got to retain their existing Medicare match funds and didn't throw their States into a fiscal tail spin.
So...the Feds then decided to set up their own exchanges to subsidize Obamacare. Provide premium assistance for people...free money. However, since there was no provision in the actual bazillion page law for this, they decided they could just appropriate the funds themselves from the treasury to the tune of BILLIONS of dollars a year for the Federal, not State established, exchanges.
Sooooo.....Congress decided, finally, to do something about it and instituted a lawsuit against the Administration for unconstitutionally taking funds from the Treasury,without Congress passing an appropriation. As a result of this lawsuit, headed by Johnathan Turley, a recent court finding was for Congress and against the Administration.
Yay...we won...sort of. The wheels of our court system grind veeeeerrry slowly. This will continue on and be in the Supreme Court at some point. At which time, the composition of the Court will be crucial to the outcome.
Expect a lawsuit from the States about this same issue of withholding funds as a hammer to force an unconstitutional rule, not even a law since it is just a wave of the hand by the Imperial President, allow men and boys to be able to invade the women's and girl's lockers and bathroom (and vice versa I might add). This will take for-effing ever. Probably years and years of going through the legal system. (unless of course the people themselves take some sort of prohibitive actions)
If we have a Court where extreme liberals like Hillary have appointed replacement justices..probably 3 by then, we will be lost as a free nation. Cooked. Put a fork in us.
No more First Amendment. Forget the 2nd. That right of privacy...pfffft. States rights I believe the 10th... Oh Hell. Just chuck the whole Constitution why don't we.

AJ, I just noted that some Conservatives are no better than Communists. Santorum wanted the Feds involved in the Schiavo case, which I thought was a direct violation of the 10th Amendment. I mentioned Cruz because, if that is his brand of "Conservatism" and "Constitutionalism", it's an extremely ill-advised brand and we truly may have ducked a bullet.
If April wants to make cutesy remarks, that's her affair and I don't mind needling her a bit, but, on the serious side, I do think it's necessary to point out stuff like this.
Troop would like to see Trump get a bit more exercised about this and, in one sense I agree, but Trump's unwillingness comes from a businessman's tendency to count the cost - which may not be a bad trait at this point.

Back to the subject of this post. This fight was lost when we normalized psychosis in the public square by legalizing same sex marriage. The campaign to normalized perverted sexual activity has advanced to the point that bakers and pizza parlors and photographers and catering halls are forced to participate or lose their business and be subjected to hundreds of thousand of dollars in fines. Elected officials are jailed when they refuse to comply with the dictates of the liberal world view of acceptance of all sorts of perverted activity. So if your twelve year old daughter wants to go to the bathroom in the movie house and some dude with a beard and dress wants to go in to wag his penis there is nothing you can do about it. Even the Pope has succumbed to the moral relativism of saying "Who am I to judge." Soon enough pedophilia and incest will be the next frontier of sexual liberation and legal tyranny forced upon an unwilling populace.
There is only one answer. Segregation. Separating yourself from the destructive force of society. Private schools not subject to the executive orders of lawless Presidents. Watch movies in the privacy of your own home. Only frequent establishments where there are one person multi use bathrooms. Protect yourself and your family. That is your only recourse. Go off the grid and don't come to their notice. Because if you are a traditional person they want to destroy you and all you hold dear. That is their goal. One bathroom at a time.
If we all unite behind the true conservatives who lead the Republican Party we can give them majority control of the House and Senate and they will put a stop to this nonsense. Then we can move on to beating the baby seal with an iron rice bowl.
We can never put the genie back in the bottle Rabel. The tide of history is against us. No laws will protect traditionalist. Only a cataclysmic upheaval of society will change the trajectory of our society.
A wise man pointed me to the example of St. Benedict. Traditionalists have to preserve our world view and knowledge like the Monks of the Dark Ages did.
I am optimistic myself. I think many will search out a traditionalist lifestyle and eschew the perverted life. There is always a reaction to overreach. The forces of perversion are overreaching and the reaction will come. It will come from sources and ways that they will not expect. It might come in a way that will horrify them. The Muslims that they support and demand we accept in the millions will behead them. It will happen in Europe first. It is already happening. As to Cruz, I wonder. I think at this point, he's been so seduced by the idea of his being anointed, he will still be in denial even after Trump says, "I accept the nomination...".

Ed I understand how hard it is not to respond to personal attacks. I am struggling with that myself. Lets help each other to ignore them and put out positive vibes about our preferred candidate and not respond to juvenile taunts. As a Yankee fan I alway have to listen to bullshit when the Yankees win and even more taunts when we lose. You have to let it roll off your back. I know it is very difficult. Trust me I know. I want to "Hulk smash." But we want to have a fun atmosphere here and not indulge in sideline bickering that turns off the casual contributor.

As far as Ted Cruz trying to steal the nomination I think that ship has sailed as well. I am sure there are diehards out there trying stuff but Cruz won't sign on unless it is a sure thing. Which it can never be. The establishment has surrendered to the Big Guy. Even Miss Lindsey Graham is starting to say nice things. So Ted doesn't want his fingertips on a putsch if that putsch is not 100% sure to succeed. This is all media bullshit set up to cause trouble.

It would be quicker for woman if they could pee standing up. I don't understand how their pee stream works. For us men, we can twist and turn that sausage and aim pretty well. We can also, to varying degrees, control the flow. Can women aim their pee much, or at all? I assume you can control the flow and since you don't have a prostate, don't lose that control w/ age. This practical stuff intrigues me. If there can be urinals both sexes can use, I have no problem pissing next to a woman.
