Truth Dig: If you’re a stickler for details and would like to know precisely how long Clinton has delayed on fulfilling her pledge or exactly how much cash she has raked in for her speaking gigs and from whom, you don’t have to spend hours scouring the Internet. You can simply log onto two sites created by a 40-year-old Sanders supporter and web developer named Jed McChesney of Olathe, Kan.
The first site— iwilllookintoit.com—is a computerized digital clock that ticks off the elapsed time in bold red print, listing the number of days, hours and seconds. The other offers a searchable chart, published at citizenuprising.com, of 91 paid, private talks given by the Democratic front-runner from April 2013 to March 2015.
All told, according to McChesney’s meticulous research, Clinton pulled in a whopping $21.7 million in speaking fees for the two-year period. Of this amount, $3,260,000 came from 14 speeches delivered directly to financial-sector interests, including Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and, above all, Goldman, which remitted a tidy $675,000 for no less than three chin-wags.
“I was watching the debate … when she said she would look into [releasing the speeches],” McChesney told me in an interview I conducted with him last week via email, as his phone was down as a result of a north Kansas thunderstorm. “I just knew it was a complete blow-off answer.
“I find it to be completely disqualifying,” he continued, regarding Clinton’s presidential bid. “It says a lot about our system when such brazen bribery is wholly accepted. So about … an hour or so after the debate, it just hit me to start a clock to hold her accountable.”

What diff? She's Lester Holt's favorite... and the other Demo-alphabet hack media outlets too! What private server?
I think it would be amazing to have a Sanders - Cruz show down. Lets get this ideological fight out in the open and raging. May the best ideas win.
Instead, we get idocracy. A corruptocrat and guy who used to give money to corruptocrats.

She must have some amazing things to say... and promise.
The hack Lester Holt/Matt Lauer press will get right on it! As soon as they are finished sobbing over that difficult question an audience member asked Clinton about her dishonesty.
Juicy find, Lem.
Thanks. The Trump nickname for her is right on. Crooked Hillary.
Regardless, Hillary will be her party's nominee because vagina. A male candidate who had her background of corruption and lying would not have made it into the primaries.
OK, let's see some similar outrage over the One True Ted's loans from Goldman to run his Senate campaign.
Actually, Haz, she'll be the nominee because it's her turn.
(if we're lucky, the Demos will adopt the Whig practice and in '20, it will be Bernie's turn)

He also gave money to Whigs. But when do facts count?
Good post, Lem. I play craps. I don't make the crazy bets. I bet the line. Back up the bet. Play a few numbers. Once in awhile I'll make some long shot bets. Not a lotta money. The Clinton's are talking very political about this email. Of course, they are 100% political. But, a defense attorney tells their clients under investigation to STFU. My gut, which is when I bet long shots, tells me to put a few bucks on indictment. Not a lot. It's still a long shot. But, the political rumblings are noteworthy. Obama then sends in Uncle Joe who will defend his legacy like a mamma bear. Obama knows he can't trust Clinton. Shit, Mortimer Snerd knows that.
Dude, she created a home server to handle her government email so she could blowoff all FOIA requests, and you think keeping private speeches private is disqualifying? I don't get these people.
A male candidate who had her background of corruption and lying would not have made it into the primaries.
You;re forgetting her husband.
Kerry made it to the top of the ticket in 2004.
I'm watching The Five. First, before I forget. I have noticed over the past several months some identical themes and comments from this Eric guy Trump errand boy and our James Carville w/ a Brooklyn accent. Anyway, they just showed a clip of Chuck Todd trying to get Cruz to say if he would support Trump. It was like a Carville thread here. Hopefully these Cruz haters save some of their testosterone for Hillary. I know they are low and I think they may have shot their wad on Cruz and Carly. The vitriol for Carly has some deep seeded mommy issues.
Meth, The most honest votes, IMHO, are Feel the Bern folks. They are flat ass wrong in their views, but they are honest. If you give Hillary voters a glass of Chardonnay and some brie, many but the Kool-Aid drinkers will be honest like the person you just mentioned. I won't give you my take on Trump voters because there is enough of that on James Carville Dolan posts. This blog is unfortunately becoming bifurcated. There are the blog posts by just normal bloggers w/ varied interests. Then there's the angry, my way or the highway, Carville posts. And, you don't see much support of the other bloggers from Carville. He will only infrequently comment on others blogs. He posts manically, comments and engages on his posts, and mostly ignores all others. Go back over the last several days. Lem has made some great posts. And, he made posts that Carville would have commented on back when it was normal. A nun being frisked by TSA. A pizza post from Brooklyn!! But not one comment from Carville on a Lem post and a few token ones on Chip posts.
Now, Carville will say "You're a troublemaker." Well, I'm just putting facts out there. It's on the fucking record. The truth will make you free. He's dominating this Lem's Levity and turning it into Carville's Anger. I truly care about this blog. I comment all the time. Carville only cares about himself.
Spinelli, I'll be honest with you. I basically threw my hands up in the air at the animus between you and troop. furthermore, I was a Cruz guy, then I went Trump, because of the underhanded shit that Cruz and the GOPe pulled in CO and also because when I saw Trumps first attempt at a presidential-like speech, I was actually and pleasantly surprised. I also believe that he is an America first patriot. I have no reason to believe that he isn't patriotic at all. Plus, I'm solidly anti-DNC in every way possible.
Yes, the Berners are honest, but they are honest in their sheer stupidity for listening to one of the dumbest human beings to ever exist, Bernie "Lung Butter" Sanders. For the record, I love Chips posts, but I can't follow his stream of thought most times, so I don't or rarely post in his threads. All I cared about was the fact that a certain gardener was creating an atmosphere of passive aggressiveness and creating a divisive commenting environment. I'm just staying out of people squabbles. You guys gotta sort your shit out one way or the other. I just hope Lem's doesn't go up in flames because of it frankly.
I just want people to be honest arbiters of my points of view. Nothing more. I'm not trying to win hearts and minds. I already know what needs to be done, but I'm just one guy. I'm an opinionated man, I am also a story teller. i come from a story telling culture and background in my family. It's in my DNA. Places like Lem's give me an outlet to do that. More so here than out there in the world. On occasion that happens, but more often than not, this blog has been a refuge. It used to be over at TOP when it was more open, but that ship sailed years ago. Now I get to hang out with people I consider friends having never met any of you. I see some come and I see some go and I know almost all of them lurk. I missed people like Synova and Darcy and MamaM and even DBQ for a while, Chicklit too and Troop when he was recovering. Even you when you were off for a spell.
Look, the bottom line is, is that I come here for the company, kind of like Norm from Cheers going to his favorite bar to hang out with the people who knows the best over such a long period and gets to commiserate with them. When I was a kid, I used to work in my dad's garage and hang out there seeing all the kinds of men that would cross his path. I got a good lesson in human behavior from just being in that environment. I learned a lot. I'm still learning a lot from people here too. One of those things is that, I can't be mad at people for thinking differently than me. I can see myself doing it, but my heart just says "Stop it. It just isn't worth it." some people can do that naturally. I can't. I used to hold grudges, keep score. After now going through a divorce. All of that shit just hits the floor and shatters into meaningless nothing. No one cares. I never knew or forgot why I did. Life for me is to fucking short to get mad at someone for some slight. Crass disrespect I won't tolerate, but you know people also have their moments of irritation that can grate on one’s nerves. That's when I just tell them, "Okay man, I'll leave you alone. See ya later." and move on down the road. It's much better that why I found.
This place helps me do that. It's like taking a walk in a pristine park where everything has its place. Each contributor’s posts are like a little universe into someone’s thoughts, but what I'm starting to see, is the trashy left-overs of people’s animosity and that bothers me. If I could, I'd just ask you guys to take it offline, I already made my case a couple of weeks ago. I care about you all, don't make me stop caring or put me in that position. That's all I ask.
Meth, I don't see this as being about politics. I see politics as a pretext for anger. I get anger. But hopefully anger doesn't control us. This place means a lot to me as well. It has changed; and politics, Trump, etc. is just the potemkin. The anger and obsession has nothing to do w/ politics. Your thoughtful and heartfelt response says it all. It isn't spin, horseshit, etc. It is from your heart. I was venting and I has no right to lay it on you. No fucking right. I'm truly sorry. What I want to see is teamwork. I played team sports. I coached baseball for 30 years. I see some real team players here. I'll leave it on that positive note. Again, I'm sorry.
I'm glad you vented otherwise I never would have said what i did and apparently i needed to say it. Getting this stuff out in the open gets it out of me. That is more important to not hang onto the detritus that accumulated in your life. You know what I'm doing right now? I'm sitting here typing out this to you while I'm listening to my washing machine clean my clothes spinning and stopping, spinning and stopping. Meaningless piffle for most people to even concentrate on something so beneath them that it doesn't even register on their senses. They are not present. I'm trying to be.
One thing that being with someone for 26 years, which was over half of my life, and then not being them anymore and seeing all of the accumulation of your life, even though you agreed to it, torn in half, and broaching the uncomfortable questions from your friends, which you further accumulated in your life and to tell them you aren't a couple anymore, and beg them not to choose sides, but if they did, that they not choose me, so that my ex can have their support instead, has been a lesson for me that I never expected I would ever have. That old stick about if you love something so much, just let it go, and some day it'll come back, but I keep thinking to myself, awww fuck it, I could care less either way. That's how I am right now, trying to figure out who I am after so long of being wrapped around with someone else, willingly, lovingly, then not-so-lovingly. Who am I? What do I do? So much detritus hanging on still. In the end, I just want the people I care about most to just be happy. Loved and happy. My kid, my ex, my dog, my folks, my brother, sister, and my nieces and nephews and the other people in my life that are family, that you pick up, as prince once said, in this thing called life. Just don't go to crazy. :D
Meth, I'm honored you opened up. My profession is getting people to open up. You have to assess them, often quickly, and then decide what approach to take. Being a real introvert, it is easy for me to listen. And, being a listener, it makes it possible to pick up on the subtle clues. People want to talk. They want to let it out. I have had to interview people about some of the most horrid shit you could imagine, murder, rape, death. Some of the toughest were involving the murders, abuse, accidental death of kids. This venue online is the toughest for communication. 80% of all communication is nonverbal. Although I hate the phone, at least on the phone you can hear the inflection. Face to face is the way. If you would like to sit down face to face and get to know each other, email me @ ndspinelli@hotmail.com. Give me a heads up in the topic so I know it's you. If not this year[I leave 5/14], God willing, I'll be back on 1/6/17.
