What a dimwit. She doesn't understand the least thing in the world about what capitalism is or what the alternatives are.
Here's my suggestion. She wants to end capitalism? She should go first and lead by example. Live in a grass hut somewhere, eschew ANY and ALL products that were produced by capitalist. Let us know how that works out for you in a couple of years...OK cupcake?
Pure unfiltered stoopid. And The Great Washed, Housed, Fed and Overpaid with OPM Oppressed will buy the book. Hey, they've got the cash and lots of time on their hands. And no brains to speak of.
Bring me your intellectually incoherent, your overentitled, your undermaleducated, your self-indulged huddled masses yearning to feel better about themselves. The wretched refuse and keening whores. Send these, still living in Mom's basement, to me. USA will kiss a boo boo.
Speaking of grass huts, last night I used to Google Earth to find photos of people in Africa leading cattle through a town. In a row, exactly like Egyptians depicted them. In the area of west Africa where the continent dents in, follow the roads and open photos in the sidebar, click away looking for cattle but finding mostly grass huts. The most extraordinary grass huts such as you never see on television, grass huts expanded to grass huts with grass huts attached, large grass huts with smaller grass huts built directly onto them as grass hut superstructure, grass hut castles, grass hut mansions accumulated intergenerational wealth in the form of grass hut. Picturesque, fanciful, charming, ridiculous, primitive, zero modern engineering, no straight lines, organic forms, organic material, fanciful, clumsy, childish. Recommended.
Along with that are tons of photos of towers. Cell towers presumably. They're quite proud of them, at least they are photographed a lot, just desolation and unspoiled terrain, boom, tower, and not an especially impressive tower either but it shows that throughout abject poverty is spread the means of modern communication and that means the world of change. Rapid change. Whatever form that change takes. It starts with communication.
I don't know anything about this particular lefty but when she tweets "Let's end capitalism" what she's really saying is "Let's end competition." The Left has no problem with a small number of "too big to fail" corporations choking off competition by way of government-corporate "partnerships' that essentially create such high dollar hurdles to compliance with the legislation they devise together that smaller players are eliminated as their profit margins disappear and would be start ups never start up at all.
She's really saying buy my book, and only my book, or face a punitive sanction and possible jail time. Government cronies come in all sizes. This stupid, stupid crone doesn't realize that the small-time cronies will be the first ones shoved overboard. Unnecessary ballast.
America's definitely not selfish enough. Only more greed will solve our problems.
Self reliance solves all kinds of problems. If you meet other with the same self reliance, you can form a larger community of people that are self reliant and therefore can foster better and more solutions. It's was done for humanity for what, almost 3 million years without a problem and yet here we are, but until the last 50 - 60 years, all of a sudden America is a selfish greedy capitalist state and government is the solution to all of your ills.
Here's the problem, though. Capitalism ---> Enhanced technology ---> Laziness.
It disincentives itself, essentially.
The problem isn't that we're not putting enough people out on casting calls for reality survival shows. The problem is that we're not being resourceful with what we have. And that applies to the public sector as much as it does to the private sector.
If you like self reliance then you should like the social equivalent: Resourcefulness.

Sounds like something William Ayers would say.
If Donald Trump becomes POTUS, is there any indication Ayers and the harridan he married would leave us for some Socialist Workers Paradise like Cuba?
Or California?
No, they're quite comfy where they are, thank you very much.
Damn.
Are tickets free?
Let's end capitalism, she says......as she

She didn't build that.
