This is a large adult tarantula seen last weekend at Anza Borrego State Park. The spider was about 20 feet from where we hung out. Note the dead snake in the upper right which we believe it killed. After it went into its spider hole, we left it alone. My daughter sprinkled some Lucky Charms cereal around the hole. The next morning, the snake and the lucky charms were gone and the hole had been webbed over.

Right-o. I've never seen the likes of this in nature.
But I have seen it collections. Like the boy I showed you who I dared at the Butterfly Pavilion. AquĆ
Tarantula vs snake Animal Planet. After that plays, then an owl murders a mouse like there's no contest, like the mouse never had a chance. Anticlimatic. They cut at the critical moment and show the result not the hit. Then they just keep going to cheeta vs wildebeest and lion hunts warthog then golden eagle catches a rabbit and all this makes picking up a package of tenderloin steaks seem so civilized.
Family vacation :)
Some fires to be lit include a sprinkle of Lucky Charms, like those chemical cakes/flakes my dad used to buy to put into fires in our fireplace and to yeild colored flames.
Beats the heck out of merely filling the bucket.
I've never seen a tarantula in real life. That's a feature of my life not a bug.
There are six distinct voices in the video. Can you guess which one is mine?
The next morning, the snake and the lucky charms were gone and the hole had been webbed over.
*shiver*
I was thinking there were only four voices...the four of you...so, were you the first voice?
I'm the voice that wonders how far tarantulas wander from their holes. The male voice in the beginning is my brother-in-law.
It's nice to put a voice to the name.
I've been giving you guys chirbit voices for years.
You are a magician...any new ones out?
