"ESPN Fires Baseball Analyst Curt Schilling After Anti-Transgender Facebook Post"

Schilling wrote in his blog Tuesday that he does not care about a person's race, gender or sexual orientation, but added, "There are things I have deeply held beliefs in, things I have that are core to who I am, things I am passionate about. If you ask me about them it’s likely I’ll give you a passionate answer, whether you like that answer or not is completely up to you. I am not going to give you answers to make sure you like what I say, let the rest of the insecure world do that."

Schilling was previously suspended from ESPN's baseball coverage for the remainder of the 2015 regular season and the wild-card playoff game after posting a tweet comparing Muslims to Nazis.
At that time, the sports network said Schilling's tweet was "completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective."

ESPN has always been run by SJW's. They've just expanded the list of "oppressed Minorities" that you can't insult without losing your job.

Guess Curt didn't get the memo.

So he really didn't say anything bad, but they wanted to remove him from the Occasion of Sin.

And what rc said.

Schilling is a schmuck. Took tons of taxpayer money in Rhode Island for a company he started. Then it went bankrupt, he didn't pay the employees, and hasn't paid the state back.

I like Schilling. I identify with broken people so the money thing just gives me more of a heart for him.

More ESPN suckage. They hate Christians.

I am sitting back waiting for this transgender bathroom thing to bring about the tragedy the SJWs deserve.

I'll say it first: Very Christian of me! ;)

Oh, there's no question that they can do this and get away with the trampling of free speech. Happens every day and more and more in the "PC" media. We are living in fucked up times.

Common sense is no where to be found, as Schilling is perfectly correct on this. Pedophiles (can we call them that anymore?) and other predators will not be able to resist this temptation.

My neighbor (who has lived through an attack and rape in her own home) was paralyzed with fear when she heard a man walk in and proceed to pee in the ladies' restroom at a grocery store recently. She rejoined me at the checkout thereafter visibly pale and shaken. The cashier, overhearing her telling me about this, was not in the least bit alarmed and shrugged it off. Bizarre.

I have a shiny Schilling card I got at a friend's birthday in 1994. I put it in a card case with the hopes that one day I'd sell it for money.

With the inflation, I think it's good I got it for free.

Now that I know what Curt thinks, I'll find that card a nice spot on the wall.

Leftists are the looniest people on earth. Promoting and defending the rights of gender deviants to commit their deviancy with impunity. Leftists are funny creatures. They wanted government out of the bedroom, strike down sodomy laws, but now wants government to defend deviancy with legislative and punitive powers with righteous indignation? They are a dangerously confused lot aren't they?

Have you seen the picture of the transgender rodeo clown that Shilling used to make his case that the left is basically defending the right for this perverted weirdo to take a shit and a piss where little girls or little boys go because fucked up deviant weirdo can't decide what gender it is. Honestly, restrooms are going to go single use anyway, so that only one person at one time can use the facility with a urinal a toilet and a sink. That's it. Starbucks has had the right idea.

ESPN's viewership is falling and would fall even further if cable subscribers had alacarte options. The transgender people I know are not what I would call sports fans, so I don't think pandering to that audience will improve viewership.

Darcy, I would pepper spray any dude in a women's restroom. There are no video cameras. "The guy tried to grope me" is all you gotta say. I have enormous respect for survivors of rape.

ESPN is unwatchable if you are a w/m over the age of 50.

@Nick: She now carries a knife at all times and was prepared to use it but was still terribly frightened. She yelled to him that he was in the wrong restroom, but he ignored, while whistling creepily.

I don't see a problem with unisex bathrooms. I do have a big problem with male parts being in womens' restrooms which serve more than one and that cannot be secured.

Curt Schilling should be banned but just because he pitched for the Red Sox. You don't want Red Sox players as announcers or commentators.

He should put some menstrual blood on his sock when he goes on camera to complain about getting fired. It worked for him last time.

Darcy, I sat down w/ too many rape victims when I worked for the prosecutor's office. I always had a woman from the Rape Crisis Center w/ me for the initial interview. They taught me a lot. It never goes away.
