The art of the deal

Excerpt:

"Let’s review shall we.

Jeb Bush has a private meeting with Kasich, Cruz, and Rubio.

...Cruz’s campaign takes down its Florida ads. The Cruz Super PACs follow suit allegedly — at least some of them have signaled they too are getting out.

Marco Rubio revs up his Florida presence and is nowhere to be found in Illinois, Missouri, and North Carolina.

The Cruz campaign redirects all its resources to those three states, with Cruz rallies, ad buys, GOTV etc.

Now Rubio’s spokesman goes on national television and says Rubio supporters should vote for John Kasich in Ohio.

Kasich is going all in in Ohio and ceding Illinois, Missouri, and North Carolina to Cruz. In fact, Kasich suddenly has no events in Illinois, and only one event in Pennsylvania after the Ohio primary.

In other words, Kasich is now only campaigning in Ohio; Rubio is only campaigning in Florida; and Cruz is avoiding events in Florida and Ohio.

There is clearly a plan to stop Trump."

Why is this a surprise?

Now that we see Cruz, Rubio and Kasich siding with Black Lives Matters in Chicagon we know that the duopoly is marshaling its forces.

It also shows that Ted Cruz's vaunted love of the Constitution is a farce.

Guess what, Cruz, while I was going to ignore the primary Tuesday I am now motivated to vote against you. A vote against Cruz is a vote against BLM et al.

Also, I am pretty sure I saw him wearing a sombrero in that Chicago protest.

Trooper York said...

It just goes to show you that a vote for Cruz is a vote for the same old same old.

There always was. They just didn't take him seriously when it might have been easier.

He has played them like so many violins and he did again last night.

The One True Ted may not know it yet, but he ended his campaign last night blaming the riot on Trump.

As of right now, the only winner last night was DJT.

We've known it for a while. Nice to see what it looks like.

Some of us have known it for a while.

PS The Lefties followed President Pissy's call to action last night and pushed back. The big threat was Vote 4 Trump, you get jumped.

Some did the Moslem in Europe thing and threatened female Trump supporters.

Others felt justified in blocking access to a hospital.

This may work, but making Trump the underdog is a serious mistake. He will shout it from the rooftops. He will still win Florida, and Ohio, in the rustbelt, is likely to go to him.

It does? How so?

By the way, has Trump ever released his own long-form birth certificate and passport records? Can we be sure he's qualified and legitimate?

They're so stupid that they don't realize unleashing BLM on Trump rallies GUARANTEES a Trump landslide in November. It's called backlash and it's gonna be humongous.

rcocean said...

It won't help them. Rubio is dead in Florida. Kasich is dead everywhere except Ohio.

Plus, this all assumes that most Rubio/Kasich/Cruz supporters will vote for Trump's strongest opponent instead of their guy.

Does't the sheer desperation and novelty of this move prove how unlikely it is to work? Democracy proceeds by its own unstoppable logic.

Republicans fascinate me when it comes to how far they are willing to go to channel and harness the ethereal. Next up is putting lightning in a bottle.

You can't have the mango.

According to Cruz....if you say something people don't agree with they have the right to riot and shut you up. The First Amendment doesn't mean much to him

According to Rubio.....if everyone goes around saying whatever the heck they want....you deserve to be shut up

SHUT UP they say. Screw the First Amendment. Screw the right to assemble. As long as they...Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Wall Street Occupiers, Black Lives Racists don't agree with what you have to say, they should be able to forcibly make you SHUT UP.

Fascism much?

Yes.

This is why Trump has to go to the mattresses. He can't let this stand. He can't let Bernies communist cadres and Black lives matters criminals drive him from the public square. Don't expect Cruz or Rubio to stand up. Your quotes of them show where they are at.

Trump isn't letting them scare him.

But the Secret Service must be concerned after some protesters tried to grab his leg while he was speaking.

So, are you waiting for somebody to shoot him, like Teddy Roosevelt or Andrew Jackson?

Rit, these kids, if they heard of '68 at all, only remember the old song "For What It's Worth". They hear people like Bernie brag how they hounded LBJ out of office, but don't remember that there was only 1 Democrat Administration in the next 25 years.

In Ohio, the Republican party changed the rules of the election thinking it would benefit Kasich. There are now too many choices on the Republican primary ballot and it isn't clear to voters which selection counts. Most people are so pissed, they're planning to vote for Trump. See here.

Don't the sombreros seem to be a tell? It is to laugh.

Sombreros are a tourist thing. That right there signals tourism. These protests are tourism in their entirety. We are remarking on and analyzing political tourism. And that's all.

Chicago reporting on a regular day is gun shots and gang deaths and drive by shootings all day long. As right side sources describe it. Record numbers reported all the time. But none of that here. No gun shots no bloodshed, no cracked skulls, no ambulances. 100% political tourism.

I am not the slightest phased. Bring out the crowds, make a GIGANTIC full on scene and sell us our next president. Bring it hard and sell him even harder. They cannot help themselves. Besides half are being paid anyway. Paid goons. What a pathetic salary. Imagine that. Gong for such a sick and insecure sinecure. I pity da foo.

Know what would be funny? This would be hill airy ass if the great litigator chooses to sue the agencies bragging about disrupting his disruptive rally. The writer commented, maybe Insty, discovery would be interesting. And it would.

I cannot explain how amused I am at Paul's complete and honest bafflement over Trump phenomenon. So pure and honest his loyalty to Party. And the only information he has to sort it all, that best he accepts to assist is what comes over NPR and PBS, the highest pinnacle of thought and analysis that he'll handle, that and his many like-minded pals that reinforce, and to observer that resembles the community efforts at slapping mud onto centuries old adobe church preparing for another season. The reinforced group says, "They just don't get it."

Keep telling yourself that.

As George Ramos said, "If indicted, will you drop out?".

You can't support the Constitution and the One True Ted anymore. Not after he dissed Trump's right to speak.

But some people can't live without somebody to hate.

"Stop" = "shoot"? And you call yourself anti-PC?

The communist cadres of Bernie and Black Lives Criminals will attempt the assassination of Donald Trump. It is only a matter of time. They already did it when a Black Lives Matters protester murdered two policemen in New York City. You know it it coming.

People like the Lawnboy will say he had it coming for dissing Illegals and criminals and the scared Muslims. Just as they say he had it coming for what he had to say.

Look at what he made me do.

Trooper York said...

Trump needs to formally demand that the police enforce the law and arrest and incarcerate people who charge the stage and violently disrupt his rallies.

Will Obama and the Tiny Dancer enforce the law? Or does the mob control the streets?

Trooper York said...

We know the mob controls Baltimore. That the mayor turned over the streets to the mob so they will have space to destroy.

How is that turning out for that city?

Do we want to follow their lead in the rest of the country?

You said you wanted him "stopped". Where are you willing to draw the line?

When some Libertarian idiot from Redstate says protesters should bring their guns to Trump rallies, it's getting a bit extreme, wouldn't you say?

While waiting for the next shoe to explode I turned my attention to a long neglected crossword puzzle and found respect and real affection for its constructor, Patrick Berry. Who looks like this. You can meet him any year you like by entering the crossword tournament at Stanford. Look, there's Trip Payne too. He's the *whispers* sort of goofy loping *regular voice* fellow down the page.

There is not a weak clue in the whole thing. The fill is terribly difficult. When I found the answer to this rather simple one then my heart was filled with glee. If you can imagine a clue warming a man's heart, this one does. Because it stumped me. Something so silly and straight up stupid as this clued so excellently. The clue is "Exotic form of suicide."

__ __ __ three letters is what that is showing.

I should have been thinking like Partick Berry then I would have it right off, instead it was solved on returning with __ __ P.

Do you get it? Do you get it? Do you get it? Do you get it? Do you get it? Do you get it? Do you get it? The answer is asp.

*warmth* He stumped on the most famous thing of all, Cleopatra! Can you feel the warmth? I love that. Not actually totally stumped but delayed unnecessarily and in my area of interest and I love that.
