Bernie Sanders: Hillary cheats

Mediaite:  A Bernie Sanders aide told Fox News’ Ed Henry that a picture of Secretary Hillary Clinton backstage with her campaign aides during a commercial break shows that she broke the rules during Wednesday’s Univision debate.
The rules of the debate banned candidates from meeting with staff during breaks. When contacted by Henry, Clinton spokeswoman Jen Palmieri responded by saying she didn’t know the photo existed.

It's Univision: We don't need no stinking rules.

Hillary cheats and lies as a constant. She is unable to function unless lying and cheating are involved. She requires a media crutch, too.

Remember how she delayed beyond the commercial break in one of the early CNN debated?

Now we know what she was doing.

Rules don't apply to her.

Look, if she wants to toke up with friends in the rest room during break, why not? It's legal a lot places now.

They're just around to make sure that no toilet paper is stuck to her shoe.

Her despicable power-mad grossness never ceases to amaze.

'It was the video. but I never said that.'

"Mao would be upset with Hillary Clinton. Bitch stole my look!"

Frankly that's the first thing and the only thing I take away from this story and photo.

Whoever came up with don't judge a book by its cover was wrong like 90% of the time.

Alan, LOL. She's post menopausal so Tex doesn't have any used Kotex to photograph.

Feel The Bern.

Think he's a nut or not, but ol' Bernie has guts and he's not giving up.

PS For Troop

Marco regrets making The Donald's thang an issue.

Trump broke the same rule.

Very good point.

edutcher said...

Did he?

Did the debate in question have the same rule?

Or are we just trying to be annoying?

Only if the truth annoys you, ed.

Do you even bother to read the articles Lem links to?

The Clinton Excuse Litany:
1. This "photographic evidence" has been taken out of context.
2. This "photographic evidence" has been photoshopped by Enemies.
3. She just happened to be in the general area of all of her campaign debate advisers, it's merely a coincidence that the photographed captured them all simultaneously like this.
4. They weren't consulting about campaign issues; they were assisting a citizen in need/helping Clinton get up off the toity in time to return to the stage.
4. Vast right wing conspiracy.

5. It takes a village, y'all.

Mao: "Bitch stole my look."
Clinton: The look was redistributed for the greater good.
Clinton: You didn't build that look.

Other possible Clinton defenses:

Oh Come On! Those debates took place in a different time, you can’t expect people from the past to live up to a modern understanding of ethics.

The picture has been circulating for a while- Its old news. I think we need to look to the future!

You can clearly see her moving away from the group- she was trying to avoid them. Are you going to ignore the evidence right in front of your eyes?

Sanders people will stop at nothing to destroy Hillary, I would not doubt that it’s a photo shop job.

The rules are patriarchal and were written by old white men for the purpose of pulling women back by their hair.

Amartel said...

It's telling that these defenses are all so familiar.
My personal fave: The wild-eyed authenticity-free cackle of dismissal. Madame does not acknowledge your concern. Begone.

To me the supreme irony is that Hillary's first real-life gig after law school was being a back-bench staffer on the House Judiciary Committee investigating Watergate, which ultimately led to the impending impeachment of Nixon, a job from which she was fired for being unethical. And now, after 40 years in public life, we can see she was and is far more Nixonian than Nixon ever was himself.

Amartel said...

Full circle would be if she was impeached. Hillary2016!

Of all the things Hillary has done this is the thing that bothers Bernie?

You have to be kidding me.

AllenS said...

Troop, Bernie is finally realizing "Holy Shit, what if I win this thing? WTF would I do, it's been so much fun being on the outside and criticizing the man. What if I end up being THE MAN!"

Trooper York said...

I don't know Allen. I don't think he could be the Man. He can't even be Chico.

Well, Bernie may be just getting ready for the inevitable.

Even George Ramos asked Queen Cacklepants if she'd drop out if indicted.

It's not necessarily just about what bothers him. It's about what's an effective attack on her in a Democratic primary.

Is that Sander's grampa she's holding hostage?

From India Knight's novel My Life on a Plate:

"I've bought a new outfit, one that seems particularly weekendy. Before I drag Jack and Charlie off to Stella's to play, I ask Robert what he thinks.
'Robert?'
Robert looks up from his copy of Vogue. 'Hmm?'
'Do you like my clothes? Do you love my trousers?'
'There are some Dries van Noten drawstring-waist ones in here,' he says. 'Embroidered chiffon, very pretty. I quite like yours — M&S? — but they rather remind me of Chinese plumbers. You have very good legs, but these rather suggest you have tree trunks.' He stares at them and then at me, a pleasant, open expression on his face.
'I look like a Chinese plumber? Because I was aiming for a wholesome, rustic Provençal look.' [...]
'Don't get in a flap,' says Robert languidly. 'It's not my fault. I think it's the colour — that Mao blue, so utilitarian. And of course the shape — well, the lack of shape. The rather masculine shape ... Maybe with different shoes, a different top?[']"

This scene was supposedly based on a real life incident: Knight had bought a navy pantsuit from M&S; her husband (who was style editor for The Sunday Times supplement or some such, IIRC) took one look at her and said that she looked like a Maoist lesbian.

I don't think other shoes would help Hillary, though.
