Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin posted the following to her Facebook page:
Dirty Politics: Witnessing Firsthand It’s Always Heartbreaking, Never SurprisingThank heavens Donald Trump opened so many eyes to the lies, corruption and total lack of accountability that come so naturally to the permanent political class. And Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was spot on when he once noted that “millions of Americans are asking for accountability and truth.” Which is why it’s so curious – and saddens us – this lack of accountability with the lies of Cruz’s own campaign.
Cruz’s campaign chairman, U.S. Representative Rep. Steve King (R-IA), is lying, and good for Dr. Ben Carson for calling this out. King, who’s previously asked for and received my endorsement, time and resources to support his own election, is still lying about my altruistic support of Mr. Trump, and he’s refused to provide any evidence to the contrary. And, this U.S. Congressman actually lied to his own constituents on behalf of Cruz, regarding a good man, Dr. Carson. He told voters Carson was dropping out of the Presidential race immediately before the Iowa caucus, causing a relative uproar inside the process, so the word would spread and he could rack up more votes for his candidate, Cruz. That’s a dirty trick. Dr. Carson deserved better. The voters deserved better!
Where is the accountability for these political actions? Very sad; typical Washington tactics. THIS is why “the status quo has got to go.”Our friend Dr. Carson put it so well:“As Christians, of course we accept people’s apologies, we also have to ask ourselves is this acceptable to us, the American people, or should there be some accountability? There should be some consequences for things. You don’t just say ‘oh, okay, sorry… okay let’s move on.’ The damage was done to me, it wasn’t done to them.”We’ve had eight years of a reckless President, accountable to no one, pushing this country to the brink. Why would we ever take a risk repeating that? We are never going to turn this country around if we keep electing “more of the same.” Just like conservatives have been preaching in opposition to Obama’s political tactics for years: actions speak louder than words. The Cruz Campaign’s actions to destroy a good man’s efforts to serve are no different than Obama’s practice of not holding anyone accountable. Typical politics. Typical politicians. Here’s background:

This is itself dirty politics, since:
1) It was the media that first published that Carson was leaving for Florida after Iowa suggesting he was suspending his campaign.
2) Cruz accepted responsibility immediately for what others (NOT HIM) had said.
3) Cruz apologized for those who misled people.
4) Carson accepted his apology.
5) Trump lost, and despite his classy acceptance speech, it's clear now that he's a no-class whiner.
Has Trump ever accepted responsibility and apologized for anything?
The master businessman underfunded the Iowa campaign, managed it poorly, and was beat by a young first-timer who funded, built, and managed a smarter more effective organization. I was wrong on Trump. I said yesterday that he would start acting mature and statesmanlike going forward, it looks like he just doesn't have that in him. Face it, he's been phoning it in. He doesn't want it bad enough, so I'd expect him to do a poor job if he gets the it. He wants the win, but not the job.
THIS is what true conservatism and class produces.
I say we move Hillary and all her supporters to Minnesota, (current residents can move out - and please take the opportunity, mkay?) let Bezos fulfill his dream of building a rocket to a black hole. Take rocket to Minnesota for testing. See where I'm going...?
Both Dukakis ans Mondale were better candidates than Hillary and Bernie put together.
1980: 47 states
1984: 49 states
I guess we got tired of winning.
Your point Bags, is that Palin and the media are the liars. Point taken.
I used to really like Palin.
Now, she's an embarrassment.
Every time she comes out, some wild weird embarrassing family drama occurs. I really do not care about her personal life, but she gives the media and SNL-type hacks an opening every dang time... and they, of course, take it. She makes it too easy for the left to mock her.
File under: not helping.
The caucus process is insane and anachronistic. It is on the level of horse and buggy as high technology. They should do away with this monstrosity.
Hey...Iowa and other caucusing states....how about trying to get at least into the 20th century?
Cruz won* despite being against the ethanol subsidy which is the third rail in Iowa. Well, it was until Cruz got in there. Cruz didn't just win, he outperformed expectations, despite attacks from the establishment/Fox and from Trump.
*For those who watch Fox News, "won" means "won," not "appears to be the last viable establishment candidate remaining so let's pretend he won."
For FOX news viewers wins means coming in third. Just sayn'
"She makes it too easy for the left to mock her."
April - My theory on Palin, who I have admired, defended, and who has had my deepest sympathy for the vicious beating she took for agreeing to be McCain's running partner, is that that is one furious human being. I don't blame her for that. Here's how I think she plays it: I think she doubles down, on the accent and the garbled verbiage and the weird uncomfortable deer-in-the-headlights looks, even the clothing, because she knows it draws contempt which, in turn, gets people who identify with her angry, which in turn keeps her relevant. She got out of politics for the right reason and went into reality programming and that's how that game is played.
Trump made a mistake complaining about Iowa. His first impulse was correct. But then he tried to work the refs. It doesn't work that way. I admire Cruz's dirty politics. He is the new Nixon.
And I admire Sarah Palin. She is a dirty, dirty girl. Just sayn'
It's like Bush saying "nucular" in press conferences. It's a big fuck you to the rubes.
I like Palin. She is who she is, and that means she's a better person than Hillary!.
Amartel - I still admire Palin, but she and her family have terrible luck. (and timing)
I'm under no illusions about what the horrid left-wing machine did to her. Especially what they did to her in Alaska. Camping next door, dumpster diving for nothing, forcing her to quit her job as Governor so she could fight all the bogus legal shenanigans thrown her way by fascist left-wing groups. The media always snidely report how she "quit her job" without any mention of the real reasons why. (Same media who give Hillary a total pass for actual crimes)
Cruz sucks.
Love Mama Grizzily and Trump!
Hey I gave you two great reasons to support Sarah!
She still has the best rack in politics.
Aaron Schock has a nice rack too-he was just offered 1 million to do a gay porno.
Would you guys do a gay porno for 1 mill?
I would do a straight porno for 1 mill.
"Trump says he's upset at Ted Cruz for disrespecting Ben Carson.
Which is kinda weird, considering Trump compared Carson to a child molester"

Is that dirty dirty politics, or just telling it like it is?
Oh that is dirty politics. Trump is just as wrong as Cruz. I love it. It is what we need.
I applaud Ted getting down and dirty. He should push the envelope. Drive up the negatives on the other candidates. That is a winning formula.
Just don't cry when someone points it out.
My favorite basketball team of all time was the 1991-1992 New York Knicks coached by Pat Riley. They were one of the direst teams in basketball. Patrick Ewing. Xman. Anthony Mason. They beat on the Bulls and would have beat them in the playoffs if we didn't have that pussy Charles Smith on the team. The Knicks philosophy was to foul on every play because the refs couldn't call them all. Riley had coached the fast break Laker's Showtime teams but he worked with what he had. They won a bunch of games they should have lost by being tougher and yes dirtier than the other team.
I think Cruz should do the same thing. He is not Magic Johnson. He is Bill Laimbeer.
"Former President Jimmy Carter said Wednesday he would take Donald Trump over Ted Cruz to occupy the White House were he forced to choose.
Appearing at Britain's House of Lords Wednesday afternoon, the 39th president surprisingly said he would take Trump over Cruz because of his ability to strike a deal and because many of his positions are not set in stone -- as Cruz's are comparably.
"I think I would choose Trump, which may surprise some of you," Carter said when asked who he'd prefer for the GOP nomination.
"The reason is, Trump has proven already he's completely malleable," Carter explained. "I don't think he has any fixed [positions] he'd go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far-right wing policies he'd pursue if he became president."

We all hate those crazy right wing nuts, Jimmy.
That's a joke, right? OR is it a clear indication from a totally disinterested source that Trump is willing to "work across the aisle" in the "spirit of bipartisan cooperation" and "statesmanship."
P.S. They said the same thing about Bush before he was nominated. Remember? That he was used to working across the aisle, forming bipartisan coalitions, due to that being the way things supposedly worked at the Texas statehouse. Then they roasted him on a spit for years and years as the most stupidevil conservative ever and he made tons of concessions to the left in order to prop up the GOP establishment goals. He would have been out of there in 2004 if not for lingering 9/11 pro-America sentiments and the fact that Lurch was a crap candidate.
Give it up 70's gay porn stach. It's all about Trump in NH!
DBQ nailed it. It was a caucus not a primary. Bunch of insider establishment types in both parties elbowed out the unaffiliated, who are going to deliver big time for Trump in the first unmanipulatable primary in NH. That's right, unmanipulatable. I'm creative. Like Donald.
Now that's a Palin I can get behind. In a lot of ways. Thank you.
Is that really her or a photo-shop?
If that is her, the background looks like Todd Palin got lucky on the desk.
Titus, you're just jealous because I'm the gay guy you can only hope to be.

Yeah, that's a total chop. A good one. I approve.
