¿Did You Notice...

SEN. MARCO RUBIO (R-FL): I don’t know how you know he knows what I said on Univision ’cause he doesn’t speak Spanish. And second of all, (LAUGHTER) the other point that I was–

SEN. MARCO RUBIO (R-FL): This is– look, this is a disturbing pattern now, ’cause for a number of weeks now Ted Cruz has just been telling lies.
Somebody needs to fill in the blanks. Cruz said:

All a pro Cruz pac has to do is produce the video and subtitle it in english. That should not be that difficult.

díselo

I do admire the efficiency of the Spanish language. That's a condensation of "say it" (imperative mood verb).

Italian goes a step further, allowing the condensation of three independent elements such in the expression dimmelo: (say) + (to me) + (it).

Lawsey. I had to turn off adblocker on the Time site Chick linked to view the video and the page turned into a freaking monster. How could anybody visit Time without blocking the ads.

I'm not so sure that "my opponent doesn't even speak Spanish" is a winning line of attack.

Some other lines Rubio might try:

My opponent doesn't even play soccer.

My opponent doesn't even wear high heels.

My opponent doesn't even use party credit cards.

My opponent doesn't even own a luxury speedboat.

My opponent doesn't even drink Bud Light.

Nice catch.

So any Hillary v. Rubio debates would be Nana smiling indulgently upon her precocious grandson?

Seriously! It is very telling that Marco Rubio thinks you need to be able to speak Spanish to be President. That show you where his cabeza is at.

I see that people over on Twitter are analyzing Cruz's accent and grammar in order to pigeonhole him as not sufficiently hispanic. Apparently, they are unaware how snooty that sounds to most Americans.
