AP: The gun control measures a tearful President Barack Obama announced Tuesday would not have prevented the slaughters of 20 first-graders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, or 14 county workers at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California.
Obama's executive action expands mandatory background checks to gun shows, flea markets and online sales, adds more than 230 examiners and staff to help process them and calls on states to submit accurate and updated criminal history data.
Those measures are seen as crucial to stemming gun suicides — the cause of two-thirds of gun deaths — by blocking immediate access to weapons. But, an Associated Press review shows, they would have had no impact in keeping weapons from the hands of suspects in several of the deadliest recent mass shootings that have spurred calls for tighter gun control. Obama is an uninformed moron who intentionally lies about everything and makes it up as he goes along. So much for his Constitutional professorhood. This unescapable idiot made the claim several times that criminals can go on the internet (who knew) and buy guns without a background check. What this fool doesn't tell you either because he's lying or doesn't know, is that all weapon purchases where there is a serial number, must pass through an FFL (Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer). All of them, not some of them, not a few of them, but all of them. Any arms dealer operating in the US is already an FFL of some kind (there are several FFL types). So you buy your gun, specify an FFL, go to the FFL, who does a check on the BATF/DOJ databases before releasing the weapon to you and that's not to mention whether your State DOJ has approved that weapon for use within your respective state. In California, not only do you have to go through an FFL, but you also have to go through a 10 day waiting period and there are weapons you cannot even bring in the state if they are on the DOJ list.
So you see, this president is a rancid lying fool and should be called out on his lies again.
Theater of/for the absurd.
