"Whistleblower: Obama More Concerned with Protecting the Rights of Islamists Than Protecting the American People"

Pajamas Media: Philip Haney, the Homeland Security whistleblower whose investigation into Islamic infiltration of the U.S. might have prevented the San Bernardino attack, has written an important op-ed for The Hill, warning of President Obama's misplaced priorities when it comes to national security. In brief, says Haney, "the Obama administration is more concerned with the rights of non-citizens in known Islamist groups than with the safety and security of the American people."
There are terrorists in our midst and they arrived here using legal means right under the noses of the federal law enforcement agencies whose mission is to stop them. That is not due to malfeasance or lack of effort on the part of these officers; it is due to the restrictions placed on them by the Obama administration.
Not only did the Obama administration shut down an important investigation that could have connected enough dots to prevent the San Bernardino terrorist attack, they went back and erased the dots Haney was "diligently connecting." Worse yet, when he complained to the DHS inspector general, the DHS and the Department of Justice subjected him "to a series of investigations and adverse actions, including one by that same inspector general."
None of them showed any wrongdoing; they seemed aimed at stopping me from blowing the whistle on this problem.
Haney finally retired from government earlier this year, and is now taking his story to the American people.

Unfortunately, the Obama administration's "Countering Violent Extremism" (CVE) doctrine is designed to shield Islam and Muslims from most scrutiny, while encouraging crackdowns on domestic “right-wing extremists.”

Of course if you're a Schmendrik and the goal is an America under constant attack and NO PLACE SAFE then things are going swimmingly.

The whole point of Fast and Furious was to take away American gun rights. Send some guns to Mexico illegally, point they came from Amercia (will ignoring the US government made it happen), blame rampant US gun ownership, and then out law all guns. But they got caught.

So now, let the murderers come here, don't worry about their talk of killing Americans on social media, let them get guns, blame rampant US gun ownership, and then out law all guns.

If it means the Kerrys can have another French breakfast with the Assads, so much the better.

Not just incompetent like Jimmy Carter, but evil on purpose. Everything Obama has done has been to make things worse for the United States and to suppress those whom he considers his "enemies"...meaning everyone who is not a Muslim....all of us. It is not an accident, the things he is doing. It is ON PURPOSE.

When people bitch about Donald Trump and that he doesn't have the "credentials" (whatever those are supposed to be) to be President, I say...how much worse could he possibly be? Really. How much worse?!? At least Trump has a business and real estate empire that he would like to see flourish, for himself and for his children, after he is no longer President. At least...Trump has a vested interest in making America Great Again. If America does well....Trump does even better and so do the rest of us.

Obama has a vested and ideological interest in destroying us.

So how does electing Hillary Clinton help all that? Or the alternative of electing Trump who makes the whole country turn left again when it's finally on it's way right after he overreaches, violates the constitution in his own style, refuses to change course, and pisses-off or embarrasses everybody except the 25% who will be wearing his latest cologne creation.

Republicans have been dominating the state and local levels, and have been taking back everything except the Presidency, which they may well blow again this time even though it's a slam dunk. They have been winning by being reasonable and competent alternatives to the Democrats who over-reached, not by being a different kind of unreasonable. In reality, Trump is a Democrat very much like Clinton, but who talks like a Wingnut. Just as Obama was a leftist who talked like a moderate.

I too thought the Republicans ran weak campaigns the last two times. They didn't fight back, and they didn't go for the neck, but that doesn't mean that anything different will win. There is more than one way to lose.

Everyone acts all shocked and agog at the idea that Obama at a minimum is a Muslim sympathizer. Hello!!! What the fuck you think he's been doing since he came back from Indonesia as a child and landed in grandma and grandpa and then got handed off to his surrogate father (if not his real father) Frank Marshal Davis. If he wasn't a Taqiyaa convert then at minimum he has a great affinity for Islam and he's shown at the outset and in his speeches that this is so. So it's only natural that given who he is, his background, his lineage that Islam is a part of his DNA in some way and it shows in his policies towards it and Muslims.

Over at Real Clear Politics' "General election Matchup" right now we have one Republican candidate winning agains Hillary:
Rubio beats her by 1.5%

The others tie or lose against Hillary:
Carson tie
Bush -0.5
Christie -0.7
Fiorina -1.8
Cruz -3.2
Paul -4
Trump -5.8
Kasich -7.5

The bottom 4 should drop out now if the Republicans truly want to have any chance of taking back the white house.

Trump and Sanders tie
Sanders beats Cruz (-5.6)
Only Rubio beats Sanders (+0.7)

If Rubio is still building a lead by the time the primaries reach Wisconsin (April 5), I plan to vote for him.

I can't support Kasich or Huckabee up front (or any other I don't yet know about...if you do, tell me, please) policies because they include a "Fair Tax" which is a VAT tax by any other name (no way a "flat tax", not even slightly)...in short, a "fair" tax (a consumption tax) where you don't know the tax broom handle is up your butt until too late. Given it requires a "prebate" to be "fair" to the poor is nonsense...more bureaucracy to send money to those who cannot afford the VAT. You get no receipt (unlike Canada) for a direct tax deduction. Only a SES bureaucrat could love it.

We had such a closeted VAT tax in Michigan until last year when the new Governor axed it. It was a tax on business that did NOT permit any exemption or deduction for labor expense or payroll costs...based upon the concept that "income" is not necessary for a tax to be derived from it (Huh??)...comes out of your back pocket....eg, PRIOR income I suppose. Never mind it was essentially a tax on labor itself....in Michigan? Please. And believe it or not it was implemented by a Republican Governor (Milliken...the ultimate RINO bar none...endorsed Kerry formally in 2004) years ago and kept up to last year when we had a Governor who wasn't totally insane.

I'd vote for Kasich or Hunckabee ONLY if there is no other choice versus Hillary...I am a ABH guy no matter what. Fact is, I know of no other Democrat with potential to defeat Hillary, so I'm stuck even though I was once (until 2004) a registered Democrat...Kerry did me in, yee Gawd.

I doubt I'll be forced to make such a choice as I doubt Kasich or Huckabee can make it through the Republican Primaries. The rest of the field is mostly open still...but the Trumpster has an advantage...and I'd vote for him over Hillary fur sure....even if not exactly my cup of tea. The man has accomplished something greater than being a politician...he's actually earned money and created jobs. What a concept.

Aridog said...

BTW...in my sojourn in the private sector, I had the displeasure of writing checks to Lansing, Michigan, for our "VAT" tax (aka the Single Business Tax) in two loss years...e.g., taxes paid from ZERO income. Make sense to you? How do you derive a positive tax value from ZERO?

Watch all of your politicians...they have something pointy aimed at your backsides. We got lucky and one axed the insanity. Wonder how many jobs were never created or were lost during the period of our hidden VAT?

I live in California. My vote is worth a bucket of warm spit.

So, I vote my principles knowing it doesn't matter one flying eff how I vote.

Not only outnumbered by Democrats in the blue coastal counties and the urban centers... but also outnumbered by illegal aliens who vote (Thanks Moonbeam Brown and his drivers licenses for illegals and the motor voter registration laws). There is no point to voting in California.

Sometimes you have to destroy something to make it better or to reconfigure it. Like knitting a sweater and about 3/4 of the way through you realize that you made a terrible mistake. You either make a horrible crappy sweater that no one in their right mind would ever wear....or you rip it back to bare yarn, wash and reconstitute the yarn and make a better sweater that is beautiful and will be warm and snug. It takes a lot longer but in the end the results are good.

I do not want Trump to be the nominee.
If he wins, there is a good chance he will continue to make the Presidency more like a dictatorship, and further divide our people. If he loses, that will definitely happen, and he's likely to lose. Some of you want a dictator, just one on your side. I just don't want one, period.

The only way out if you see it like I do is to nominate someone else. Terrorism, and immigration are just not my hot issues. I want a smaller government, and a lean, mean deadly military that scares the shit out of our enemies. Trump could be great if he was a different candidate, and a different man - less Trumpy.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

The only way out if you see it like I do is to nominate someone else.

The electoral process is one where THE PEOPLE select their nominee. Based on either caucus systems, popular vote or delegates elected by THE PEOPLE to vote for the candidate that they have pledged to vote for. It doesn't always mean that you get to have the candidate you want. Look at Romney. Bush. You do live with the choice of the people though. Or else just trash the system and pretend that we have any choices at all.

In any case, the choice of the nominee is that of the pooled votes. So far no one has voted and we are just looking at polls, which are pretty nebulous things anyway. If it comes to the conclusion...after the voting is in... where the majority of THE PEOPLE have nominated Trump or Cruz or anyone else, for that matte of fact, and the GOPe decide that they know better and thwart the will of the people by nominating "someone else".....I can guarantee you that there will be HELL to pay. I do mean Hell in the fire and brimstone sense.

Trump has given no indications that he would be a dictator. His temporary ban on immigration was also said that Congress would need to sort this issue out. In any case it is not unconstitutional to ban immigration based on country of origin, on political enmity (such as banning Nazis during WWII) and it is NOT unconstitutional to ban based on religion or show preference for religion. In fact the President has that power. It is a law.

Personally, I'm in favor of stopping ALL immigration for a while until we come up with a better system and with a rational for who we allow to immigrate. Allow people with skills and who will be a benefit to the Country as a whole. Immigration is not a guaranteed right. No one has the right to force themselves into your house or into our country.

Trump never ever proposed a data base of Muslims. That was stated by a reporter who then proceeded to put words into his mouth. He did say we needed a better system to track those immigrants (muslim and everyone else) who are in the country and who are not on a permanent basis. People like those on expired student visas and then who go on to fly planes into buildings or kill Americans. We have NO way of knowing who is in the country, where they are coming from, how long they are staying, were the HELL they even are. This is INSANE and there is nothing Un constitutional about instituting a system of responsible tracking.

Trump has repeatedly talked about downsizing the government, in personnel and in redundant departments. I would assume as a business man, this would be one of his first moves in the executive branch where the President does have control. I know as a business person that would be one of my first goals.

All the whining and hoo hahing about a Trump Presidency are based on misinformation and being led around by the nose by the media.

I'd take a Trump or Cruz over any one of the RINO favorites.

Trooper York said...

I'm better, I'm tougher, I'll do what I want no matter who doesn't like it, because I'm just right, I'm rich, and besides the other guys suck. Sounds like he wants to be a dictator, or if you are into that kind of thing, a genius/savior. Is that all there is to him? I expected more. He could do more, and he's really beginning to disappoint when I expected him to start to blossom into a serious game changer by now. I understand and seriously crave a candidate that is who you guys think Trump is. He might be great, but he's not showing me how. I just don't see it or hear it from him. It's all just hype. I assume he is a) a great marketer, b) someone who wants to make a mark, c) a pragmatist who understood whose palm had to get greased if he wanted to do business in New York State, and d) quite possibly someone who may have taken a good, long look around and changed his mind about what was happening in this country.

I know like his fight and I like a lot of what he says.

Would I like somebody with a little better pedigree? Of course.

Do I have reservations about him the way I do about Cruz? Definitely.

Do I see anybody on the horizon (with the possible exception of Cruz) who can take the nomination and the election and make a real fight for this country? No, I do not.

Could I find things in this campaign that I could compare with Adolf Hitler? Yes, but many campaigns have that.

In the immortal words of Donald Rumsfeld, you go to war with the army you've got. Unless somebody can come up with another Andrew Jackson, George Washington, Robert E Lee, and William Tecumseh Sherman, he is our George Marshall and our Douglas MacArthur.

Like it or not.

Aridog said...

edutcher ... the only problem with Rumsfeld's comment is that he didn't have much of an Army, so he copped out with that remark...the go with with you got meme gets men killed. It's a paltry excuse. At times necessary (like early WWII) but not since...you want to fight an enemy, build up and do it!

That said, Rumsfeld was right, we have no choice today...and I doubt this administration can do anything. Our troops are the best and can win anywhere, just at what cost? We need better. I'd go with any American Soldier or Marine, but I'd like a lot more sponsorship. There was a day when I had no choice, but then we sent 500,000 for better or worse....what else can I say?

I do NOT want to do that again, but I'd like to be prepared to do so if necessary. That's what I think many folks don't get. Be prepared. You'll need less force if you have it.

Does Hillary's very frequent habit of clapping for herself put anyone else but me off? Regardless of political viewpoints? Is this something politicians do generally? I don't recall many if any.
