surprise Orion

Orion is my favorite constellation. I don't know why. Maybe because it seems to stick out the most where I live so it's seen immediately whenever stars are seen. I had the time-lapse set up for early morning before sunrise then fell asleep on the sofa right there with the patio door partially opened akin to being outside when it's cold. A clear ice experiment is going on outside just beyond the opened door. The camera's shutter stays open a very long time and takes nearly a minute to process before showing what it did on the back, the thing looked so long so wide-eyed to soak up more light like a cat staring down prey in the night, the photos do not show the darkness I'm seeing. They're ruined. Later when strung together and run the stars show in cloudless night and there is Orion, my favorite stars tucking in precisely my little chunk of the sky. My sky is framed by the building I'm in and Orion tucks right into the frame and right before daybreak this time of year. Nice. I lived here seven years and I did not know that until seeing the time-lapse.

I will show you if you care to see but first something entirely unrelated to constellation Orion and to time-lapses. This is not my idea. Last night on Twitter, Bruce, a lawyer in South Carolina who goes by the Twitter address  'gay patriot' and who changes his online Twitter handle with frequency to something amusing, presently 'Happy Homodays,' asked which photo of Tashfeen Malik we thought looked better, the one of her wearing a hijab or the one of her whole body heavily made up with street.

That Bruce, he cracks me up. This woman's a skunk, she doesn't get top billing, no, she's a thought after Orion, a star group held in fascination long before this woman's religion ever came into being and will still fascinate ages after they're gone. She is Bruce's joke.

It gets much worse.

Bruce didn't ask about about Farook. Which look suits Farook better, the Mr. Peanut look or his lazy beard and features rearranged?

They're bad and ugly and smeared all over the street and Bruce is funny. Man, look at that face. That's what becomes of you, Jihadist. You notice all the photos of him show the heavy tired under eyelid sanpaku of doom, and there it is doom fully expressed.

Enough of them. Here is the subject of my real interest. The stars that city lights nearly outshine were it not for the wide-eyed and long-staring camera providing a picture different than seen without it. Orion, his belt and broad shoulders fade out to day as I do.

The midday time-lapse, too large a file to show here together so posted by itself elsewhere, is even better showing clouds coming directly at us from the West and crossing with patterns both from the Southwest and the Northwest all three at once. I realized by watching the series of photos what a fantastic day to collect airborne organisms for sourdough, they'd be dropping into the slurry collection from every direction, pushed in by the wind. The odd thing is, each moment when you look out nothing of interest is happening, it looks like a boring day then in review it turns out having been much more dynamic.

Was it the dude or the chick that fell or slumped -- dead -- out of the SUV? I was listening to the radio and never did get that detail clear. One of them made a stance some distance from the car. Was that the woman? It would explain so much.

...asking for a friend named America.

OK, lacking a response, I'm guessing that the woman was the one who made the stance outside the SUV (there's too much pavement between her body and a car).

The guy missing half his brain is obviously the one who died cowering in the backseat of an SUV -- cowed-- COWED! -- by his wife into death!

Is there a Biblical parable about a man cowed into death by a woman?

The shape of the body is woman. In better photographs she appears to be wearing a sport type bra.

The dude is handcuffed and face down in other photos. His body is shown from different angles.

Sounds like a clue, biblical phrase for this:

Samson's undoing

Ever read about Samson in the Bible? Man, talk about gaps in storytelling. Samson goes from being born to being married without anything in between and we know what angst Jewish mothers have for their children doing well yet there is not one single growing up anecdote, the lacuna so tremendous throughout one assumes while reading that so much of an ancient story circulating is irrelevant to Jewish narrative that most is removed so it fits without bothering to fill it in, or else adjusting so severely to force fit. Come on, nothing about coming of age. All the descriptions of running back and forth between parties are severely clipped.

Put on your innocent child face and tell somebody really into their gardening, someone who digs out and carefully stores their tubers each fall for safekeeping, "Your Delilahs are gorgeous."

Very cool to see Orion slipping away like that. I know he moves, (or truthfully I know that WE move) but its so subtle. Fun fact: Queen Boudica of Brittan wanted to test the eye sight of her archers. To qualify you had to tell her how many stars are in the belt of Orion. (look carefully) Don't answer based of pictures (even GREAT pictures from Chip) you have to go out and look with the naked eye.

I prefer her bloody dead body. Will Loretta Lynch come and arrest me now?

I actually prefer the picture of her alive. It was taken before she committed a horrible crime. It was a time in which something could have been done. The other picture comes after she helped kill over a dozen people and injured dozens more. Yes, after that act, I'm happy she was taken from this world. Still, if her visa application was properly vetted, she might have stayed in Saudi Arabia. 15 people, including her, could be alive today if our federal government had done its job.

So I wonder what happened with the GoPro footage they took.

She had plenty of time to upload it to her pals in Raqqa.

The cops said they didn't have cameras as first reported.

Apparently, that is one video which are government doesn't expect to cause spontaneous protests. I suspect it will be used for planning and fund raising elsewhere in the world.
