Of course you would post something about the dung beetle, Chip, being an Egyptiantologist of sorts, and the "Scarab" (from the superfamily scarabaeoidea) being a sacred object in Egyptian culture, religion & history as you are so well aware. Consulting Wiki I was amazed to find that the dung beetle is the ONLY non-human animal to navigate by way of the Milky Way. WOW!!

Dung beetles are also known as "tumble-bugs" (watch film of them to see how they got that name) and when as a very young child immediately post WW II when my mom & dad temporarily stayed at my grandmother's house until we got universty housing I used to crawl into her bed late at night and she would tell me bedtime stories she made up about an anthropomorphized tumblebug "family" and their life, trials and tribulations, lol!

PS: Also didn't realize how utterly invaluable they are to Agriculture!

Do the dry turd beetles look down on the wet turd beetles?

Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you want about the life of the dung beetle, Dude, at least it's an ethos.
