Some of Lemmy's insight from the film I reviewed:

Everybody thinks the Stones were the hard man and the Beatles were the sissies and it's really opposite. The Beatles were from Liverpool and the Stones were from the London suburbs--you know, going to art school and shit and so it wasn't that way at all. And The Beatles--I always thought were the best band in the world you know?

"Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there! It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead."

We live in Marina del Rey half the year, and I saw that 2010 biopic when it first played in LA. The LA Weekly has also done a lot of good in-depth interviews with him over the years. Never was a metal-head myself (I'm same age as Lemmy) but it's an understatement to say he was a colorful character. He was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago so at first thought perhaps that and his past hard living had finally caught up with him. Still may be the case as low immune systems make one susceptible to a lot of cancers..
