Washington Post gives her two Pinocchios.
“He looks at me and goes, ‘Um, how old are you. And I said, ‘Well I am 26, I will be 27.’ And he goes, ‘Well, that is kind of old for us.’ And then he says to me, and this is what gets me, ‘Maybe the dogs will take you,’ meaning the Army.”
–Former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton, speaking at a breakfast, Manchester, N.H., Nov. 10, 2015

Not sure that happened.
Marines haven't been dumb enough to call soldiers "doggie" since XIV Corps saved their necks on Guadalcanal.
I have a vague memory of her saying, maybe during '08, she tried to enlist but didn't pass the physical. Flat feet?

If it was during the Vietnam War, they were taking anybody with a pulse.
What's the point she's trying to make? That someone trained to cull out mediocrities from Marine quality had her number?
What's the point she's trying to make?"
That she can lie about anything, anytime, anywhere. She was just showing off for her supporters.
"The original story was that in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1975, Hillary walked into a local Marines recruiting office. The Marine recruiter looked at her, she recalled, and asked how old she was. Twenty-seven, she said. “He looked at me, and in those days that was before I learned how to wear contact lenses,” Sen. Clinton told a crowd of women veterans in 1994. “I had these really thick glasses on. He said, ‘How bad’s your eyesight?’ I said, ‘It’s pretty bad.’ …Finally said to me, he said, ‘You’re too old. You can’t see. And you’re a woman….But maybe the dogs would take you.'”"

The "dogs"? Doubtful.
Why would Hillary a Yale Law Grad '73 - who'd worked on the Nixon Impeachment hearings and was about to Marry Bill Clinton want to join the Marines?
Its a nice story though, like her campaigning for Goldwater.
What a great tragedy for America. If we had had Hillary as the tip of the spear back in the first Bush presidency, how different history would be today. I dont think Saddam would have even thought of invading Kuwait if he knew that Hillary was a weapon in our arsenal.
IIRC the top Marine in charge of recruiting in Fayetteville at that time stated that the event never happened.
