Trooper York hardest hit ;-)

"Playboy says it will no longer print images of nude women"
Its executives admit that Playboy has been overtaken by the changes it pioneered. “That battle has been fought and won,” said Scott Flanders, the company’s chief executive. “You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it’s just passé at this juncture.”
The magazine will adopt a cleaner, more modern style, said Jones, who as chief content officer also oversees its website. There will still be a Playmate of the Month, but the pictures will be “PG-13” and less produced — more like the racier sections of Instagram. “A little more accessible, a little more intimate,” he said. It is not yet decided whether there will still be a centerfold.
Its sex columnist, Jones said, will be a “sex-positive female,” writing enthusiastically about sex. And Playboy will continue its tradition of investigative journalism, in-depth interviews and fiction. The target audience, Flanders said, is young men who live in cities. “The difference between us and Vice,” he said, “is that we’re going after the guy with a job.”
Flanders and Jones feel that the magazine remains relevant, not least because the world has gradually adopted Hefner’s libertarian views on a variety of social issues. Asked whether Hefner’s views on women were the exception to that rule, Flanders responded that Hefner had “always celebrated the beauty of the female figure.”
“Don’t get me wrong,” Jones said of the decision to dispense with nudity, “12-year-old me is very disappointed in current me. But it’s the right thing to do.”

"Sex-positive female." That's funny. Playboy will be all about "empowerment" from now on. I give it one year before el-foldo.

Playboy had a nice run but I can't really seeing it surviving Hefner's death. Time to get its house in order.

I wonder what the percentage is of men over 35 who have "read" a Playboy Magazine. Got to be very close to a perfect 100%.

The problem is that the percentage below 30 is becoming vanishingly small.

I'll give credit to Flanders for acknowledging the truth, the nudity of Playboy is hardly as relevant today as it used to be. I'm not sure I agre with going PG-13, but what Playboy has over porn is class. The female form is great, but it can be enhanced with clothing. I think they should go for those pictures and not worry about how much skin is or is not exposed. That would be truly liberating.

I too red it for the articles. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

“sex-positive female”

We're talking Gloria Allred, right?

More politically correct bulshit.

Playboy had its day. Time to fold it up and discontinue it like all print media.

By the way I didn't read Playboy.

I preferred JUGS magiizine. The articles were far superior.

Titus often rails against his native Midwest, but how could he possibly diss Loaf 'N' Jug convenience stores?

I mean, there's no way you'd ever find a good "Loaf 'N' Jug" in Boston -- it's more like Logorrhea Flat Bread.

Playboy was heading to the Ass Heap of History after Hef gave it to his old lady daughter to run. Then they started running spreads of other old women. I suspect those blondes that accompany Hef around are actually geriatric nurses. He's probably taking his viagra thru a tube along with his beta-sito-vegamin.
