He is Obama and the son is a young Arabian condemned to beheading followed by a ritualistic crucifixion.

The story is typically horrible.

This plea blows my mind. There is so much about it at once. Does it mean that the mother and father have dropped their religion? Because it sounds like it does. Is this the parents admitting their religion insane, please come and rescue them from it?  In their case the religion and the politics are inseparable. To speak of Arabian government and Arabian justice is speaking about Islam. Is this the parents dropping all that and speaking human to human?

Of course not. This is the mother dragging us into her religion and its irreconcilable internal dispute. Purely and simply. And because that is so then she is pleading with the devil himself to save her from her own religion's justice.

If anything, losing your child would be one thing that could possibly cause a person to drop their religion, to lift themselves out of their religion and speak from above it without it, to leave all that behind and address matters without anything religious to it. But that is not happening. This is a plea from within the religion with all its political aspects intact and so cannot be answered. I'm sorry, your son has to die. For change. For his religion.

Or else snap out of it and that is not happening.

From within the religion with its politics they are asking the Great Satan for assistance.

And that head is the Greatest of the Great Satan flattered with "head of the world." This is Arabia and not Iran but it is about the same Shiite vs Sunni dispute.

Yes, that is what has to happen for change within the society governed by religion. Naturally. Otherwise it is Great Satan butting in as deus ex machina and that would suit him quite well. The state violence is justified by the religion. It's how that show of public decapitation and superfluous crucifixion is presented as proper. You want the world to know the justice is ridiculous, the system barbaric and insane (the son didn't cause bloodshed and didn't steal any property) while the system is Islam, the system they're speaking from within and maintaining. If the justice is ridiculous and the justice is Islamic then Islam is ridiculous. Is this the parents snapping out of it? No, it is not.

And we really have to correct that "head of the world" nonsense indicating they're stuck in a make believe construct.

That everyone seems to agree on.

As it turns out she's flattering a narcissistic politician unconcerned with institutional constrictions who happens to like showy stunts, a bit of a showman himself, a celebrity, and thinks very similarly about his being head of the world for the nonce, and a successful stunt interfering in another's political world in some inconsequential way will reinforce that, with her plea so desperate and so clear and pure that it pops out above the two Islams and attracts the attention of the world and of the Great Narcissist and like powerful magnets working together actually pull AF1 her direction and actually does affect change however minor in that rotten backward insanely religious arid governing system. She very well might save her son.

And keep her religion they admit in their plea is unjust and insane that brings all this about.
