WKRLEM

Lola Albright sings in Peter Gunn. One of the best private eye shows ever on TV. A prototype. The jazz scenes in the little club where Pete goes to meet his girl Lola forever stands as my idea of a cool club. Everybody drinking martini's and listening to cool music.

That was great. I never watched Peter Gunn. I need to do so.

Never liked Peter Gunn.

Too moody.

There was a trio of popular 50s "film noir" B&W tv detectives at that same period: Gunn, "Mr. Lucky" and "Richard Diamond, Pvt Detective" (w. David Janssen--later of 60s The Fugitive tv series fame.)

Lola Albright is alright, but she is no Julie London!

Johnny is a jazz musician who solves crimes on the side. Highly recommended.

The real clubs were filled with grifters. But who needs reality. AMIRITE? (Stole that from Meth.)

Well ric heres the deal. You know who you meet in bars? Drunks.

Not alcoholics. They go to meetings. Just drunks.

I think the theme song was better than the show. At any rate, I remember the theme song.
