I was preparing a post for this just this moment because I am so pleased I stuck with this wnd article to the end because that's the best part.
I was counting on my my thoughts to sort while I wrote the thing hen having wrote it resort it and leave it at that.
Every single thing the judge says is reverse of reality and applies to himself foremost. The judge says throughout "This thing about myself that I do not understand I see in you slightly and I am deeply offended and would like everyone to focus on this issue intensely. (I should see it everywhere, I'm surrounded by it when I look especially within my own party, this illegal bundling you did)
"I'm doing this additional punishment to be helpful, not as part of punishment or to be retributive."
Translation (is one needed?): I'm doing this as extra punishment and precisely to be retributive because I am myself a stinking political shit and would do the same thing at the drop of a dime.
I found a dime in WF parking lot the other day but that is irrelevant to this issue. But that's the thing about America, there's money all over the place, you have only look down.
The judge says he's not singling out D'Souza to pick on him.
Translation: __________ you do it, see if we match.
The judge interjects his almighty self into the case, and the whole time you're visualizing the guy at a Christmas party splashing his drink, draping himself on your shoulder, banging into the pillars, "You have to understand, I have a background in social work with a psychology major."
We do have to understand that?
I thought all I had to understand is you're the presumptuous little dummkopf adjudicating my case and I'm basically at the mercy of of a politicized idiot who doesn't even know this much about himself but does see it in others. But if you say so, okay, Judge.
When you read the whole back and forth between defense and the judge you go into Judge Berman's dark and unremarkable mind. You go to the edge of where Dante went and approaching the end learn D'Souza spent 8 months of night times in jail from wherein he contacted a publisher and wrote a book.
The judge sentenced D'Souza to lengthy period of teaching English to people seeking citizenship. It's a ridiculous length of time extending several years. D'Souza said, he likes the classes a lot. He's become quite attached to his students. They've all seen his film. He's given them all copies.
Progressives used to this with critics in the 20th Century. It has the political advantage of dehumanizing your opponents and taking away their legal rights to speak for themselves. It was also very useful to the eugenics movement, as they would then also sterilize you. And note, the Judge made this decision despite 2 government Psychiatrist, paid by the prosecution, claiming that D'Souza was sane.
The judge is way outside his jurisdiction. Not sure if D'Souza accepted psych counseling originally in order to avoid jail; that may be the case but it is irrelevant to this new decision in which the judge substitutes his opinion (regardless of his BS in psychology and experience in social work) for that of actual psychiatrists who have examined Mr. D'Souza. Utterly and obviously unacceptable judicial conduct. He is unfit for the bench. This is typical fascist behavior except in America, as Jonah Goldberg predicted all those years ago, the fascism comes with an outward smiley face (we're just tryng to heeeellllp yooo - to conform to our ideology) and an inner snarl (personal attacks). BTW, Mr. D'Souza's face does not look like an asshole - see me substituting my personal opinion for your extensive empirical asshole knowledge? - but your soul certainly does.
That John Corzine still walks the streets as a free man proves this is political. Nevermind say, the clinton foundation scams. I wonder, has this judge used his psycho degree to analyze the motives behind Johnny-boy Corzine? Nah, he's a democrat former gov, banker and bundler crook so he's a good guy.
Judges and government types like this won't see the freight train coming until it hits them smack in the face. Rule of law? No, this is rule of man with psychology degree.

Did the judge do this to effectively silence D'Souza?
Up until his conviction D'Souza was on his way to becoming the right's Michael Moore... now that is probably in some doubt.
Why are leftists so afraid of free speech and criticism? Why do leftists feel compelled to stomp out free speech?

I can just hear Pat Buchanan saying... 'There goes ChipA blaming America first' ;)

The purge is on.

I'm sure lotsa judges, H.R. weirdos, etc., just wind up demanding psychiatric follow-up just for the sake of seeming conscientious.
Clearly abuse of process.
