Very interesting, Chip. Things have sure changed in the world of agriculture since I left the farm in '62. It's much more mechanized, efficient and sterile.

I helped my dad build a few farrowing crates for sows as per the recommendation of the gods of good farming at Iowa State U. Until then sows had a tendency to lay on their brood and squash the life out those cute little piggies. Also our farrowing operation in an old barn wasn't nearly as clean as that in the video.

It will be interesting to see what direction agriculture takes regarding meat production. If the animal bleeding hearts have their way there won't be any, but there's a lot of money involved in it. Just ask the well known investor, Jim Rogers, who advises people to be farmers these days.

As a cow, I am all for throwing pigs under the bus if you will to focus attention on the "other white meat."

The pigs reminded me of how the Harkonnens are depicted on dune.

Ha ha I'm seeing a lot of my own food on the results page, and I must say it's quite nice to see it, Know why? I talked about this one time and people go to my page to see the rat and the cat tied together. It's sick.
