Bill Nye is well chuffed

This is the first 1/5 of comments to Bill Nye taking a plane ride

Recorded for posterity. Because it's fun seeing a fraud being called out. Here is Nye's Twitter post that is likely to keep right on building with comments if Nye is not so embarrassed take it down. I've put up ten pages of comments here but this is only the beginning. The entire Twitterverse is chiming in it seems. I posted fifty-four more screenshots of comments here.  I got them all. Up to the point of this post, but I have no doubt the comments are continuing to because people are not having it. Sure, there a quite a lot of supporters but they are overwhelmed. Their arguments are fallacious and weak and all statist first, faith second,  and reasoning and real science not at all.

A good read, as opposed to a must read, which could be interpreted as a mustn't read.

Golly, if only there were some technology that would enable people to participate in meetings and conferences without all the carbon-generating travel? I mean, what if you could send signals through wires, or via satellites, and images and words; then people could participate remotely in conferences, sparing the environment.

I mean, wouldn't that be great? If only...

When Bill Nye says he is going to act on climate, he really means he is going to join Obama to pollute it as much as possible for an individual that believes in AGW.

I give about the same weight to the claim that some anti-AGW advocate is a hypocrite as I do to the claim that some pro-religion advocate is a hypocrite.

Very, very little.

I see people so pleased with themselves to play spot-the-hypocrite in terms of evolutionary psychology: The function of gossip is largely to identify and punish cheaters in the competition for scarce resources.

Me? I take no pleasure in it.

I thought, oh boy, I'll get these comments. But they just kept going and going and going and going and going and going the slider went to the bottom but kept being fed from the bottom as if it were bottomless.

EVERYBODY chimed in. Iowahawk, Instapundit, everybody I follow, every twitter name I recognize eventually showed up.

And I realized there is nothing I can say on this subject that hasn't already been said if not already said a million times.

With so few characters available it is everything like people standing around clubbing each other.

So it's as much a matter of numbers as cogent blows. Nobody is actually listening anymore at this point so last group standing when it peters out wins the spoils, you know, like a true democracy.

What takes no self-awareness is the presumption that Nye's comment wasn't satirical.

Their arguments are... reasoning and real science not at all.

As opposed to these posts.

And I realized there is nothing I can say on this subject that hasn't already been said if not already said a million times.

If banging one's head into brick wall doesn't work, you know what they say: Bang harder!*

Lol.

Thread's so young, yet Fr Martin Fox for the win, hands down.

Good grief, of all places you'd not expect it, even within DOD they have had for years tele-working and tele-conferencing, with and without video. The savings in travel and expenses is humongous...yet we still have these touchy-feely meetings, inside our borders no less, where one must fly in to participate?

Please. I just do not understand it. Is it done to draw media attention and visuals? That'd be my bet. In my old droll DOD world, we'd could have cared less about any of that....and we saved all y'all a bunch of tax money to boot.
